To start, there are only 5,000 mk4 R32's in the U.S. which was the first time vw made them. The mk4 golf came in a 1.8t and a plan 2.0l. The R has a 3.2l, awd, and a 6spd tranny. It's just completely different from the others. I hope this helped.

They are also one of the best sounding cars in stock form.

Yes it is. People always ask me what kind of exhaust I have and I tell them its stock and they don't believe me.

They are one of the most fun cars I've ever driven. That's coming from an Evo owner! If I had the extra cash, I'd own one.

The same here bro. I want a evo so bad, maybe we can trade sometime. But I'm in the same situation as you, I would rather own both instead of one. I always try to tell people these cars are completely different but they still don't understand, so I gave up along time ago.

In my opinion the engine in the R32 is just insane. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it a VR6 factory ported & bored?
I've always wanted one of these & haven't had the nerve to spend that much money. I almost bought a blue MK4 AE
& didn't. I could kick my ass for not owning it now. You've got one sic ride dude......... My hat is off to you.

Im assuming it is, the original VR is a 2.4l I believe but don't quote me. It's crazy how much power they can hold off the factory block and head also. Thanks for the comment!
