Because older greater than newer. MK3 looks much better, already, than the MK4. Later, QD.

Nice pick up. Should be nice when you get to work on it.

Really?!?! No way, the MK4 have the potential to look so much better and they already come with a 2j so you don't have to deal w/ that shitty 7m, IMO. and again they just look better, idk to each his own

I have to agree with QD. Especially with the price difference to mod each car its a no brainer for a project, unless you're rich like Paul Walker

I agree. I'm partial to the more old school look so that's why I think he upgraded cars. Later, QD.

    I'd take either one.

Will work for food, car parts, or three stripe apparel. And not necessarily in that oder.

Sorry, you know absolutely nothing. The 7m is a great engine, and has the same potential as the 2j.

STFU, that transmission is rated for less than 400hp. 2j tranny is capable of handling waaay more than that. On top of that the stock 7M-GTE has about 230hp, 2JZ-GTE about 100hp more than that. 7M =/= 2J

If you are referring to the R154, they aren't completely bullet proof until a couple of mods are made. The 7m stock can make quite a few ponies, and if you aren't a retard you can make plenty of power without spending the money to swap a 2j. I have seen some nice 7m setups, you should take a look at Chris from Zen Motor's 7m powered supra. I am sorry you live in world filled with such tunnel vision.

On topic, I have a soft spot for MKIII supras, and hope you have fun with your project.

I stated that the motor was shitty, in my opinion. Notice the "opinion" part.
Explain why the more common swap is the 2j as opposed to the 7m (rhetorical statement)
@ 2toneGS, sorry to trash your thread like this. Thanks for answering my question.

Tons of potential. I like it. Get some good looking wheels, a drop, and get to work on making some power!
