    Default time to rebuild

so after my recent issue with getting whacked at an intersection, the insurance adjuster came out and took pictures and wrote an estimate or two, so now it's time to start bringing the car back to life.

the teardown; ended up just slicing the bumper at the mounts to the fenders since a razor goes through this stuff pretty damn easily. then it was just 4 bolts on top and the bumper flopped away. next came the tweaked bumper support, and finally the busted ass intercooler.

and so begins the resurrection.... new intercooler came in so i fabbed up mounts and threw it on the car. it's 1" thicker than the GReddy was so i had to space it out a little more to clear the vertical support for the hood latch but it fits nicely. had to get some new transition hoses since the greddy was 2.75" in/out and this one is 3". once those come in the car will run again

you mean my supa gangsta homegrown low profile lights? did those a couple weeks ago. actually had really good light output/pattern too, but they were completely trashed in the accident so i'm just going back to sealed beam silverstars or maybe some of those "diamond" H4 conversions with decent bulbs.

Went through that with Geico on my CRX. I brought them a STACK of receipts and said, with authority, "Total up ALL these receipts and the money for the damage and THEN you can total it."

I walked out of there with a check for 2 grand and a rental car for a month and a half.

Did you pick the kit I chose?

No proper spelling or grammer? Why not? At least then you would at least LOOK like you have a brain.

It's his car, he can do what he wants with it. I happen to like the pop up lights.

decided to let them total the car... i could fight them for months only to get a tiny check, or let them total it for $2800, buy a clean shell for $300 and go switcho-change-o . then i get the best of both worlds IMO. already have a shell to pick up tomorrow night. so now i have $2500 to play with
