I'm expecting to get bashed harder than a 18 year old Asian hooker, but who cares?

This is my "new" car. I figured that while I have it I might as well make it look decent right?

Car: 1988 Plymouth Reliant K
Motor: 2.2L K
Transmission: 3-speed A413 automatic (column shifter FTL

)

This is it right after picking it up





Please note that in the last picture, the air filter housing unit is removed. We had to adjust the throttle.

I know, its an ugly ass color. That will change. It had no speakers at all, horrible cracks in the dash, and three hubcaps. I took the hubs off and threw them away. I wired up four speakers and will be adding two more. The dash is still cracked :p

This week I started on my first "mod", exhaust. Here is the current set up




I will say I probably cheated a bit using JB Weld instead of actually welding it. I wish I knew how to weld and had the equipment to! Someone wanna teach me? lol
It should hold, as I've done this before.

This will be the finishing touch to the exhaust.




And while I had the car jacked up, I decided the steelies were too dirty to be presentable.

I'm from Ireland I'll have green, white and orange accent throughout. Since my car is "period stain" red, according to Simon, I'll be redoing the interior. The headliner will be the Irish flag while the rest of the interior will be black.
Getting rid of the ugly chrome. One day I will get better rims, hopefully 13" Sakuras. I'm not throwing a ton of money into it until I find out how long I'm keeping it, you know?

any motor plans yet for it?

Besides a tune up, possibly a drop and clean, and maybe a wire tuck (that's a stretch), nah. I'm not sure what to do there. I want to keep the original motor, but I'm looking to get another 40 horses out of it, hopefully.

The 3A racing muffler is a way bigger fail than using JB weld lol. But it's always nice to see a different project. You can make almost anything look good with the right mods.

I've got a welder I'll sell you. It's the Harbor Freight 90 amp welder. Nothing special, but it's a good starter welder and something to fuck around with. I've done a few exhaust systems with it. lol. I'm just looking to upgrade. $40. I'll show you how to set it up, use it, and all you'll have to get is the welding wire and a wire brush (I'll include the welding mask and a new tip since it needs one).
