    Default $1000 car.THAT RUNS!!!

    I picked up monday my 97 Mitsubishi Mirage DE 1.5 5-spd
    It wasn't in the greatest condition.It was very dirty and still has a radiator and exhaust leak.But other than that runs good.Been in a accident or two.Clear title.Since i've had it I've Put in a Alpine 9886 CD/MP3/AAC/WMA player,A set of Alpine Type-R Component spealers,And 8000K Hid's.I got it for a grand and it made it back from covington with no water...hahaha it all leaked out.but didn't overheat :/???idk whats up with that.but oh well.oh and i have pinstriped it took the interior apart and cleaned it 99%(just one seat left)But pplease don't come in here bashing on it...I like it.And it's not yours so keep your negative comments to yourself.Thanks

    not really my first one got stuck in the sand...and my third one got stuck in some mud...not deep mud just like turning around on the side of the road...:/

    i got my 89 240 hatch for well under $1k ran like a top too. but good find!!!

    yea...i figured out it was the radiator...it's bent and is squirting out of the fin behind the fan...but i can get a rad for $75 at the junkyard or on ebay for 83$ shipped with lifetime warranty

    the subframe is bent under the radiator too... so thats why its bent...lol imma come-along it and try to straighten it out

    $1000 bucks is a fine investment for a running car! The cheapest deal ive ever gotten was a 1988 hyundai excel with 130,000 miles for $250.00. Wish i would have kept it....great daily

    it wasn't clean when i bought it lol...i spent all day scrubbing the carpet...and i did a simple wash of the outside.

    great find...now boost it!! look out for my new car thread in the coming weeks

    1.5l on boost equals a lot of fun and if you blow it...a new motor is only a couple hundred haha. Seriously, BOOST IT.

    i would but i need a job...lol i bought it to get back and forth til i get stable again...then when the time comes i'll buy another motor rebuild it put it in rebulid this motor boost it then put it in so i'll have 2 motors...hahaha

    yes im on the mirage forums...lol and idk how it runs...smartass...:P it rolls good...lol idles and accelerates fine small skip because of 6 month old gas

    nice, I bought my 94 Sonoma for 1500. Gotta love cheap DD. i do have a question though, Why did you spend all that money on sound and pinstriping when you could swap the radiator? Just a thought.

    i had all the audio stuff already from a previous time...when times were good... and the HID's are more for function than show...the headlights on mirages suck...and the pinstripes i did myself.They were like $3 :P i figured it couldn't do nothing but help...I'll end up removing them after a while

    AND what better car could i get for $1000 with clear title very little dents that runs good???just a question.
