i agree, but i'm old school, i shot with film for the longest time and did everything in a dark room, i just got a digital. i think some pictures look amazing, but it gets to a point where it's shopped so much it doesn't even look real. the colors, contrast, exposre etc look amazing but it doesn't look real.

Yep, shitty cell phone pictures. You have to imagine the thing gets hot as balls. I think this one was being used to promote a club or something?

You know you can't always expose an entire photograph correctly right? It's simply not possible...no camera in the world can. For generations photographers have shot multiple exposures and cut out the correctly exposed parts of the film and combined them to make one properly exposed photograph. That's equivalent to today's HDR. I'm not talking about the burnt marshmallow cartoon look...but properly exposed with minor levels adjusted HDR.
This is properly done, almost too real. The examples were taken 4-5 years ago but very few people shoot cars with this style, Ruji probably being one of them...

ah, i get you. i've had to do something to achieve the same end, but i used a different process. we called it dodging and burning. are you familiar with that? i have an entire piece i've done that's a fairly large size, made up of about 8 smaller images, and every single one had to be dodged and burned due to the circumestances in which i was shooting. some areas of the frame where far too light and some where almost black.
