My mx6 cost less than your rotas.

alright, so i just picked this mx6 ls up this morning from a local guy.

he said all he wanted was what he paid for the radiator, $100. so i said what the hell ill take a look at it. i get to the place and realize that its an ls. this is when i get excited. why you ask? because its got the klde, and almost everything else i need to get my 323 running.

he claims the headgaskets are done but other than that it ran.

so heres the question, keep it and have it as an extra car? or get everything i need and scrap the car? if i can get it running ill have a decent dd that just needs some TLC an about$ 300 or so.

im kind of thinking extra car because i know the 323 wont be perfect when the swap first gets completed.

what do you think IA?

It does not happen to me either. This was a first.

So I have been going back and forth all day, and I'm torn. I'm debating getting the 323 running first now with a few parts from the mx6, but keep it and get it running afterwards. Then it can still be my dd but I won't be sacrificing my main project, the 323.

the choice is clear either have two busted cars or have one nice one have 2 projects sucks up more money than you think stay focused on the 323 if it does break you have back up parts.

Me personally would keep it and fix it, but the trannies in those things are the worst! Im srue you know. but a 5spd swap is a snap! I wanted a mx6 as a 2nd car... im kind of jealous..lol

You really wont make too much money off that car if you part it out, but a running you can get a little piece of change for. And there is honestly nothing of the mx6 you really need, and the small stuff you would need you can get from the yard.

And also trying to get cars like that to run are a pain in the ass, but if you plan on parting it out, let me get the wheels.. i need soem spares...lol

lol. i was going to get a few small things off the motor for now, like some misc. brackets and things i need. theres a guy on clubprotege whos dying to get the seats from me, but other than that i dont really have any offers for it.

im thinking after i get some things off of it im just going to put a car cover on it for now until i decide what i want to do with it.

i wish the auto halfshaft would work for the 5spd but it doesnt even look close to the same thing.
