Default Autobacs ASM Yokohama (S2000 content)

Many of ya'll probably never heard of a company called ASM. They make lots of QUALITY products for a lot of cars, but mainly focus on S2000's. I just wanted to share with you guys the awesome quality and craftmanship that ASM delivers to their customers. As well as their shop in Japan. This company seriously takes my breath away...

This is the company that offers $3,500 exhaust systems, $15,000 coilovers, $10,000 door panels, $60 license palte bolts, and $800 business card holders...

ASM located in an upscale area in Yokohama, Japan.

Keeping with the theme of uncompromising craftsmanship, hardwood flooring is used throughout with the showroom with glass windows seamlessly blending into the workshop area. Even A section was built specifically in the workshop area to park a car so it can be displayed as part of the showroom.

ASM is also Japan's largest Recaro retail outlet with a huge inventory and many ASM Limited Edition seats that come directly from Recaro Japan.

In the workshop we can expect nothing other than a clean and tidy work area. Unique to ASM are the hardwood floors throughout the workshop area with 2 aligntment lifts built flush into the ground. No ramps needed for lowered cars here.

    Below are just random pictures...

All their cars have air jacks

    ASM Dry Carbon Card Holder

Yes. It's about $800 USD. They produced 30 at first and sold half of them within a few days. There are still some available.

Originally designed specifically for ASM Car No.2 (Tsukukba Special) to reduce overall vehicle weight, these 1-piece front and rear tow hooks weigh 1/3 the weight of the standard I.S. Design Tow Hooks. The tow hooks are made of 1-piece CNC machined super duralumin (A7075) with a clear alumite finish. The front hook uses pure titanium nuts and bolts and the rear hook uses high mechanical strength titanium (64alloy) for extra strength. Due to public demand, they have been made available to the public in very limited number; 10 sets produced only. $2,400!!

Tell me about the coils and exhaust. I'm not someone to instantly say "no exhaust is worth that much", you just have to tell me what you get for that amount of money.

Did you really have to quote all of the pictures along with the text?

Their prices are why they can afford hardwood floors in a workshop.

+Reps for Gotuning.com , and +Reps for Autobacs Secondhand Market.

    "Is a $3,500 worth it???"

I've heard sound clips of many ASM exhaust and they sound great. Even the stainless version is over $2,000 last time i checked. But, are they worth it? It's subjective. For the hardcore japanese connoisseur? Yeah. For that price tag you most likely get handcrafted metal, serial number, specific application, etc. For me, if i'm gonna spend over $1,000 for an exhaust system, Id rather spend that $$$$ on a one-off peice, something specifically tuned for my vehicle setup.

s2K owners: GoTuning supplies Alcantara wrapped interior pieces, resonably priced. Waiting for someone to use the dash that's offered. (I sound like a marketing tool)
