Do want. Headers and exhaust free up a decent amount of power in those cars.

Throw some LM's on there too.

it has a clutch and a flywheel, no torque converter, and no drivetrain loss. Its a manual that has an electronically controlled TOB and shift actuator. 8 lbs more than a 6 speed car and unless you are Mario Andretti.........its faster.

Right he is. It's actually the same tranny and clutch as the 6spd manual, but instead of a clutch pedal + traditional shifter the actuators do all the shifting. I has paddle shifters mounted on the steering wheel, or it can be put in full automatic mode. Each mode has 6 settings to adjust the RPM range it shifts at, and the speed of each shift. In S6 it shifts at redline and can shift in 80 milliseconds.

SMG is a love it or hate it sort of thing. I drive in a lot of traffic, so it's nice to commute in full auto. And I still have the paddle shifting for trackdays, and one of the best parts is that it takes the possibility of a misshift out of the equation.

I rarely use the paddles. The best part is the electonic launch control, the rev-match downshifts, and just holding the fucker to the floor on acceleration. It's literally a perfect upshift and downshift every time.

You'll hate SMG until you master it. After that, you'll never want a normal manual again.

Looks good, not a fan of E46 though compared to other generations. Can't lose with BBS or HRE's:

Billy you know that BMW didnt produce to many without a sunroof. Thats a rare ass car! And the SMG is fun to drive with. Like most are saying you either like or hate it. Sometimes I wish I didnt have to shift in the audi. Life would be so much better. :boobies:
