Lol. That's a non-turbo. WAY more reliable than your Piston Engine. Long as he keeps the oil changed and drives it, it will last forever. Turbo Rotary......not to much so.
Here's a thing for you. I bet he can run his car in the redline WAY longer than you can. Try that sometime and bring me the piston it slings through the side of the block, i'll use it to hold down papers on my desk.

LOLOL! I miss my rx7. Fuck apex seals. They are what stop me from buying another one. Everytime I find one, I call and ask whats wrong with it, EVERY answer is "apex seals."![]()

I call b.s. I am selling an Rx-7. Want to know what's wrong with it? The muffler is rusted through and it has some electrical problems. Unless you keep looking for $300 non runners, then I doubt EVERY or even half of the Rx-7s you look at buying have cracked or missing apex seals. If it runs, the seals are fine. If it makes low compression, they're on their way out, and if is a seal is bad the bitch don't run.

Whats wrong with apex seals? LAFFO! Just take em out and have the rotors clearanced and put some 3mm seals in.

They THOUGHT that they had managed to make seals that would last just as long as 2mm seals with very controlled testing. And get the benefits of the thinner seals (lighter rotational mass and less wear on the rotor housings themselves due to less material rubbing) but they didn't account for carbon build up or flex wear as much as they had thought and consequently the FCs don't run as long on the original engine as the FBs.
