I seriously don't understand how hard acceleration wouldn't just tip that over, unless it was AWD, which judging by the stupidity of the entire project, I seriously doubt it.

Lol stupidity of the project? You are crazy. That thing is badass and i'll bet you they sell every single one they can build and have a waiting list.

Why would it flip over? He has zero weight on the rear end and if anything would just sit there and spin when you cranked on the throttle.

I mean stupid in a "ridiculous" sense more so than a "retarded" sense.

And I'm obviously no expert on drag racing, or the physics involved, but when a powerful, rwd car takes accelerates quickly, does not the front end rise off the ground?

Again, I'm not trying to be an ass, I'm just curious. I've driven fast quads before, and due to my ignorance, they have nearly tipped due to me giving them too much gas.

yeah but look at the tires of this red stang in comparison to the quad, also consider that this quad is extremely front heavy looking. I think you wouldn't have the traction to flip backwards, maybe VERY light steering and hard to controllness, but I don't think it'd flip itself over, just melt the tires, which are probably not something like 315s for that very reason.

Now the lack of a seatback, is something I hadn'tthought of that was brought up in this thread. That would suck to have to hold yourself up while going to 120 in 6 seconds.

^^ Yeah, I drew a frame of a man running on each fan blade. That is him running at idle

If this thing comes with seat-belts then that would be a truly scary ride. Just imagine going the same 120 in 6 seconds and then you loose control while your strapped down to the Quad.........well you get the idea.

The last thing you want is to be strapped down, that's why Motorcycles don't have them.

And I don't see neither of the 3 quads lifting the front on the street with those tires.
EK needs a new tune? baby needs more boost so a good tuner is needed....anyone?

The rear tires having grip is a prerequisite to the front end coming off the ground. This thing would just light the back tires on fire if the throttle were punched due to it's length, ride height, and street tires being equipped.

One the subject of the sucker leaving the rider on the street, is definitely a reality though. I've driven some pretty intense Harleys and had a very hard time hanging on to the grips when i actually opened up the throttle.

Of course, I didn't think you were being an ass.

To understand what i'm talking about you have to look at the differences in the car you posted, and that Quad.

    1. The car you posted has slicks. HUGE difference from the 245 street tire that is on that Quad.

    2. Weight. The stang has weight on the rear end. That causes it to hook a hell of a lot better then the Quad which has nothing over the rear wheels.

    3. The engine in that Quad weighs a good bit in relation to the whole vehicle. So you stick 750 hp in that tiny frame, crank on the throttle and it's going to break traction and just sit there. It's more or less a burnout machine. Soon as you stick juice to it, tires are spinnning.

So the difference in what you posted doing a wheel stand is night and day. One is purpose built to do one thing, drag race. The other is a showpiece that you can ride.

Rolling starts though all depend on how much pud pulling you have done through the years as to how well you can hang onto those grips.

The less than 100lb engine is also directly in the center of the quad with you sitting on top at the highest point of a short wheelbase.

You can't do wheelies without traction. Street tires are not going to provide enough traction on that thing to do it, especially with the engine all the way up front.

im thinking if you launched it, you'd be left facedown on the pavement while it shot out from under you. Theres no seatback to be pushed against when you unleash 750 horses.

thats why when they buld it you have em put a full seat on it, and wheelie bars lol for those who are afraid of tipping it. imo i think it would just spin from a take off. i wonder what it would be like at a 40mph pull?
