Default The new to me 1984 Mazda Rx-7 GSL

As a good bit of you know, I crashed my 1983 Mazda Rx-7 GSL. Well all of the running gear was swapped into a really clean 1984 shell. All mods are the same as before, jsut looks much better.

Thank you sir, she is gorgeous too. I am loving every second of this car. Drives exactly like the old one (as it should).

I should mention that a local car club helped me do the swap. we essentially has one COMPLETELY stripped shell(still had all body panels, but no lights, door handles,, door internals, locks, engine, tranny, rear end, suspension, brakes etc.) and we also had my crashed car, and the two became this in 3 days!!

Looks good, just don't like the grills on the lower front bumper, but I guess they come that way.

Yeah the 84 and 85s had them, but they're functionally ducted to the front brakes. Not like, the race cars with flexible hoses bolted to the dust shield(they sell a kit like that though for these cars, it bolts right up), but rather just throwing air redirected in the general direction of the brakes haha, but still "functional",so that is a little redeeming.

Thanks though, I kind of like the little gill things, the nose of this car is so low you hardly see the front of them anyway from eye level, but it adds some visual interest to an otherwise bland blank area, the car has no option for foglights or anything like that so it's nice othave SOMETHING there.

Thanks, now that I actually have a car again, I CAN take pics of your Alpha like I said I would. I'll probably have next Tuesday or Thursday off, I'll keep you updated.

My first car was a white 84. With silver Rikens. Grats on getting it back together.

Not my favorite generation of RX-7 but congrats on getting back into practically an identical car as your last one.

QD, yes to both of your posts.

05IONREDLINE, it's not identical, this one has body panels that are all the same color, the last one had a silver/blue front bumper, a cream cowl panel, a cream sunroof, and was overal not really white but rather an off white. This one is BRIGHT WHITE, and this one being an 84 instead of an 83, has a different interior that they changed in 84.

Everyone else, thanks, REPS have been given.
