    Default e30 M3 + 5 hrs on Dyno = Forza III

In response to someone asking if the e30 M3 sounds authentic on Forza III...

"Hopefully it does. They used my bone stock E30 M3 for exhaust sounds for the street car. Recorded at a dyno shop in Redmond, WA. They spent about 5 hours with the car running it on the dyno and varying the placement of mics between runs." -- Lance Richert

That is very cool! I figured that was how they replicated the sounds.

He said they put over 100 cars on the dyno for sound recording. It was actually done for Forza II but the car didn't make it into the game until afterward being option to download.

I have about 25% of the Warnsteiner race livery completed on the e30 M3. It's gonna take FOREVER to do all the sponsor stickers.

Yep if you watch a video interview with the forza 3 turn 10 lead director, someone even asked about the sounds. He said Turn 10, had a team dedicated to just that. There job was to go out and find 1 of EVERY car in the game and record sounds, and get tons of pictures of the exterior and interior to be able to match them in the game as close as possible

What kills me is that sometimes I'll be driving ingame, and the sound of the revs will stick but the actual revs will stay climbing.

I love the sounds altogether though.
