Lol at the comments.
An FB not a collectible? Who is your drug dealer?
The FB's are already a collectible, it's probably one of the most underrated collectibles on the market right now. It is an amazing car, pretty rare to find one in good shape now for one reason......people didn't know how to work on them back in the late 70s and early 80s so everytime something happened to one, they junked it. It's got everyaspect of a collectible. Fast, good looks, low availability in good shape.
It's funny when people put current cars in a list of future collectibles. So I think i'm gonna make my own list.
1. Ford Taurus SHO. I put this in here because I think that after 2012 the ONLY car that isn't destroyed in a flood, tornadoes or the earth shattering kaboom is going to be Old Man Johnsons brand new Taurus SHO that he bought using the money he recieved from a government program aimed at helping farmers in rural Kansas. It will be the last car in America that is still driveable. Don't ask me how, it's my dream...don't shit on it.
ANY car can be a collectible given the right circumstances. WHo in their right mind would have thought a freaking Gremlin, a Pacer, a Pinto or any of those other things could have been collectible. I'm sure nobody looked at a VW thing and said...."Dang, I better put one of them there things (Pun intended) in a barn for 20 years.

If you're gonna do it, overdo it.
Dirty Octopus Photography. Magic with a shutter!
it's a very accurate list in my opinion..... especially since most of these cars are being destroyed and/or modified crazily everyday.
i would have to say that the NSX and ITR are already highly collected, making them present high japanese collectors
NSX was vital to this list.
i love the datsun 510
Atldm dude...
:boobies:
Lolz to the people not thinking the FB doesn't belong on the list, even if I weren't a rotard I would still realize that the FB paved the way for the FC and FD which some people want on the list. Think about it, if there weren't a FB there would be the sexiness that is the FD.
I have to agree. The first gen rx-7 was a revolutionary car right next to the 240z. Out of the box for its age its still fairly quick, good handling, and rwd. And finding an ultra clean one in good condition..good luck. Theres actually a mint one at the hyundai dealer with 40k on the clock for 4 grand i think. Beautiful car. As far as the miata ya its massed produced, and you see them all the time but it too was a revolutionary car that paved the way for many of the cars you see today. People think its just rwd convertible with no power, but they dont know of all the R&D that went it to perfect and give it the track record it has today. The miata had been around for two decades and even today magazines have rated it #3 in the "best drivers car".
^I agree with you completely sir
