I had thought about the whipple for a while, I really did, but for what I wanted in my car it wasnt going to be the best choice. All the kits I looked at would have given me the power output Ive been looking for.
I didnt go with Procharger because in my opinion it sounds too harsh and sounds like something is busted under the hood, plus the constant belt breaks I heard about. The Novi 2200 is one of the best centris out there, not sure if you knew that. The kit is rated up to 900HP @ 22psi. Im making 480 at about 7.5. I say thats pretty damn good and not quite "half ass" as you put it.
My budget was around 7 grand, and I stayed within that amount. I could have gone with any kit for the most part other than the KB Mammoth. I did my research and this was my best choice for what I wanted in my car. The Vortech is too quiet. I at least wanted to know I had something under there
Edit: A TVS or Twin would be nice, but honestly I have no problems with traction right now which is great, I probably couldnt say that if I went with one.
