Because of your post, Tamburini said he'd never design another bike.

Its hard to believe that the design of this bike started in the mid to late 90's

I didn't like them sitting by themselves in the first post, but being raced, nice, not really my type of style but I'd rock it anyway.

They go from $21,000 for the F4 1000 S to $120,000 for the Claudio Castiglioni.

Because MV is not racing their bikes the way they were in the 50's - 70's, they are not as good as the current Ducati's. MV won every 500cc world title from 1958-1974. It is still one of the greatest names in motorbike history though.

The F4 was first sold in 1997 and the design has not changed at all since. Like all of Tamburini's bikes, such as the Ducati 916, it is timeless.

Todays best offering from MV is the F4 R 312. It is more powerful than the Ducati 1198 S, KTM 1190 RC8, Bimota DB7, and Aprilia RSV4.

It also holds the track record around the ring for bikes but this record is debated as it is not covering the whole track and isn't done with factory riders.

So...in 2009, you buy it more for its character than how it stakes up against the rest. A blade for example is right there in performance and is half the price.

MV Agusta...it's like if Ferrari ever built a motorcycle.

By the way, is it just me or are BMW motorcycles gigantic?

Do you mean because of the boxer motor placement?

I think the new S1000RR size is right there with an old Yamaha R6.

I'd be to scared to ever ride one of those. Wouldn't want to lay it down accidentally, and ruin the prettiness lol.

Hah, I was just looking at that earlier...sexy bike. I like how it's asymmetrical.

Anyway, I've been on an R1200S and an HP2 and they feel really tall. The K1200 seems quite tall too.

I have done it a few times. Getting the balls to do it at first is even harder. I had about 7 yrs of motocross racing before I tried it on a flat track.
