lol it seems that there is always someone who will try to justify a car no matter how much of a parts disposal it is lolOriginally Posted by Glides
So....why hasn't it? If you are talking about that era, you need to have the R33 weight as comparison, not the R34 you put in there.Originally Posted by leobond001
For the us 90's japan super cars it lasted the longest, ending in 99. And it caught the mistsubishi break down flack. Like I said, the weight doesn't matter with those cars. 12.8 in the 1/4 mile is really nice.Originally Posted by MongolPup

It isn't the Supra's fault it didn't sell well in America to the point of the Japanese updating the emissions hardware 1998-2001.Originally Posted by leobond001
And if we are talking the American versions, that's like saying it did decent in the Special Olympics. No Evo competition, no Silvia, no Skyline, no Aristo, no Soarer, no Altezza, the list goes on and on.
I do, however, appreciate your calm response. Reps to you.
not quite sure how i feel about it. def unique though.
Lose the gay ass stickers and number plates on the doors, the faux carbon wheel and I would rock it al day long. Not a bad looking car, always liked them....until they have to be worked on.

A little too much for me, but I've always had a thing for these cars.

Its still over weight
Try not. Do or Do not.
Wikipedia says 3800lbs., that just seems like way too much for ~300hp, AWD will only help you make up so much. Some cars are worth the hassle, ask any RX-7 guy, others have a good place in history.
Some say that his politics are terrifying, and that he once punched a horse to the ground...
Hey, Owning an RX-7 is like having a Handy capped Cat sure your gonna put a lot of money into it and sure its gonna always be broken in one sense or another but you grow attached. On that note I had the first problem with mine in almost a 1.5 years.Originally Posted by okra1981

i remember when everyone used to call 240's junk..lol
I like it, wheels look great on it.

I love it.
Always had a soft car for these.
This chassis was just too fat and ahead of it's time...

Eh, I like it and all but the color sucks. Wheels fit perfect with the body styling though.

Yeah, TopSpeed tuned one in the low-mid 500's with the stock bottom end. They CAN make power its just that they are prone to issues and are weight challenged.
I personally am not a fan of the car but that one looks alright. I wouldnt stop and take pics of it at a show though.....
looks good
"Taking speed bumps one wheel at a time"
It looks good...until it has to go in the shop 5mins later! lol
lol styling is something else obviously but i have a sore spot for fast mitsu's
shits weak on the one pictured. too much going on. and as for them being bad cars i disagree. any car has its slew of problems, this one for instance having rubber and plastic IC pipes. gimmicky but pioneering things like active aero and AWS notwithstanding. its a matter of what one driver is willing to put up with compared to the next guy. weight wise early vr4's came in around 3200lbs, it was the later verts that were heavy. guys that keep them stock traditionally have low mileage vehicles and maintain them religiously. they just drive them and have few major issues. the shitboxes are high miles, abused, not maintained, and have ignorant drivers in many cases. the third side being the cars that are bought to be built. condition doesn't come into play as much mechanically seeing as its all getting replaced.... hopefully.
you know, i had more to say but ive lost interest. moral is guys that build them love it. people that hate them have never owned one or felt put out when their 180k car shit its rear main bla bla bla. in the end im the asshole typing a response to someone being wrong on the internet.

Who changes your spark plugs? lol
It's definitely been show and drift specced out, if you will.
I like it though.
And I haven't seen a decent 3000GT, let alone a VR-4 in FOREVER....so hoo-yah to that.
:]
Looks good...
Tyler- ever think of swapping the VR4 into an s13?
I like the rims.
that's it.
