He made an uncalled for comment towards Nissantun3r. I know he's not very well liked, but he made a post like everyone else and Cm(whatever) decided to be a douche. There was no reason for Nissantun3r's car to be mentioned or compared to. The Prelude was posted, meaning it was open for criticism (NOT Nissantun3r's car)... exactly what was done.

I understand what you're saying, and I (in some ways) agree. The Prelude was the topic, not the maxima. But when Nissantun3r decided to bring up the "show quality" of the Prelude, It can only be expected that someone would bring up the "show quality" of the Maxima.

For example...
If you were to say to me, "This is the best civic you'll see today" referring to a random civic. And then i pulled up in a geo metro with an exhaust leak, auto zone foglights and hubcab spinners and said "your show quality is okay at best" you would, rightfully so, make a comment about the car I was in. And you have every right too, just as cm7 did.

oh and btw, you live in gwinnett? If you have a Kswap like you claim, lets run it. Im in newton.

On the other hand, it was titled, "prolly the best prelude you will see all day", which kind of implies it a looker... Which to be honest, it looks totally stock except for some paint on the wheels. And that analogy is a little off IMO. The civic would have to be in a car show or something ;)

But I agree, the bullshit is lame.

I am under no illusions about how fast my whip is, its slow (compared to others on this site) and shiny, but I take pride in meticulously maintaining it. I got the car for the body style and fell in love with it. if its any consolation I COULD have built a 11sec boosted civic hatch that looked like something out of superstreet with the cost of this 4th gen prelude...but I did something different, and im still not finished. my huge grand goal would be something around 220 whp and id be happy about it with this car.

right now its probably comparable to a bone stock type R integra :ninja:

you guys also have to understand I NEVER had ANY intention of even being a part of some kind of "tuning" scene, I built this car as my DD on me and my friends driveway, and any kinks we might get hung up on it goes straight to the honda dealership. I pay hondas fucking light bill in douglasville and gwinnett its been there so often lately. last week was the 1st Varsity meet I have ever even gone too after finding out about from this site.

i know what you mean about how people hype up there cars. Im far from a drag car, lol. I make around 250-260whp when everything is running smooth. right now I have a cracked downpipe,bad rear tires and an idle problem i cant figure out. People make it seem like their cars don't ever give them problems.

dude my cars doing the SAME chit! thats why iv been so pissed! I cant figure it out! if its really hot outside and say im sitting in traffic...my idle will go as high as 3500 rpms! then my temperature goes up....thats why I started with that KOYO I got, atleast to elimanate (bad radiator) as a problem

im thinking its either or a combination of

1. bad temp sensor
2. vacuume leak somewhere
3. idle air control valve <---im leaning toward that, but ill have to bleed the coolant lines to take it off and put it back on....on top all the work I just did...just dont wanna, i dont wanna
4. maybe ECU but I doubt it

mine does that too! It started only doing it when the AC was on, and it would rev over and over sitting at idle. but it now has started doing it sometimes with the AC off. we need to get together and figure this out!

Im thinking its that valve too, ive had a few people look at it and say thats probably what it is.
