Default TW FG + Volk Content v.UPDATEDPICSINSIDE

Got my new wheels on earlier this week.

    Volk SE37k's 18 x 7.5 w/ +43 offset
    w/ Nexen N5000 225/40/18.

Soon to come: EDIT* Yoko S-drives 215/40/18

The height is good and there's a bit more camber than I'd like but I just need a less beefy tire so it doesn't rub as bad.

    Anyways, along with pics.

    Before:

    && After :boobies:

    -3.0 Camber FTW

    In The Garage...

    On the way::
New tires, Full detail & tire shine, Mugen Short Shifter, Volk Racing Center Caps.

Let me know what you think, Thanks!

    *UPDATE*

-Mugen Shifter is in trunk, awaiting install.
-Volk Center Caps are all in
-Minor wash was done, but nothing huge

    Thanks again!

*IF ANYONE WANTS TO TAKE SOME PICTURES, PM ME. I WANT TO GET SOME QUALITY SHOTS UP SOON*

Thanks guys. The pics don't do the wheels justice. It's really hard to capture the true color of them unless the lighting is "just right" but thanks for the comments none the less.

Without it, the tires rub my fenders on the slightest bump in the road. It still scrapes on any type of "hard" turn I make. the 225 im running is too wide for my drop so I have some 215's in the mail and I'll be able to keep the drop and reduce the camber once they're installed.

Not my favorite, but definitely better... and you love it, so

The detail/different tires will help a lot too, lol

hit me up if you need a detail! wheels look good, i guess a fender roll would help better... so u dont need all that camber!

Yeah, I thought about rolling the fenders, but I bought a wheel with this offset to avoid doing that so I'm hoping the tires will help out with the rubbing issue.

needs 9" wide wheels with that tire, or the tire you plan to get. They look so narrow, and they don't sit flush..

If I didn't get such a deal on these, i would have looked for a better offset but it's still better than stock.

9 inch wheel isn't happening on my car ha. I'm running a 225 now. Would 205 stretch to a 7 1/2 inch wheel? If so, I can order that and then keep it lower.

Any info on tire stretching would be greatly appreciated. I've never looked into it and there's plenty of you guys on here with them so yeah ha, thanks.

&& Thanks for the comments guys!

dude you do not want a 205 tire, that is going to be so small. 215 is even small, i dont understand why you cant run a 225 with that offset and go lower. i run a 225 with 41 offset on 8.5" wheels and i only rub on the fronts sometimes

will you have an extra inch for that 225 to stretch and round off on the edges. I can run what I have now fine I just have to be super careful around any kind of turn.

I have a wider wheel, yes, but that doesnt mean much. it is barely stretch, and i rub in the fronts multiple times a day, all you really need to do is get the camber a little more negative in the front and go lower. If i had coils i would be ALOT lower, and rub alot more. but do your thing

Well would you not compare a 215 stretch to a 7.5 as a 225 to a 8.5 wheel?? Just curious to see how they compare. I don't know much about how tire and wheel width's compare.

&& if you have any more advice or ideas on the setup, let me know.

by the way, is it "horrible" that the tire rubs on that black piece of plastic on the inside of the wheel well? If not, I'm not too worried about it then.

lol not bad, mine made the most horrible noise for a while, and was loud as hell, but it wont hurt anything, and the smallest id go is 215

    Thanks everyone!

95jdmdc4: PM me some info and we can make that happen. I'd love to.

csmith: Ya, i figure it's not too bad just more annoying than anything ha. and ya, 1 i wouldn't ever realistically stretch a 205 to 7.5, if I even get new tires now, i'll only go to a 215.
