Default Rollininstyle2004's New Daily Project BOB (Balla on a Budget) 56k HAHA

My buddy Jordan aka Rollininstyle2004 got a new daily recently. It isn’t anything special just a 2001 Honda Accord LX with 30k on the odometer! We got a little crazy with it as you will see in this thread. The exterior is not meant to be taken seriously at all. We did use this car as a test and tune for us on our suede and mdf skills. So, come along as we try to make Jordan’s Accord unique on a BOB (Balla on a Budget) budget.

We started with the maintenance items.

    Seafoamed the car

    Oil changed

    Spark plugs

Jordan wanted to paint his steelies. We did this project for under $20

    Sanding down

    Washed off

    Primer

Krylon Anodized Blue Metal Paint lol

    Done

lol we even painted the exhaust manifold heat shield

Time to hit up the audio portion of our build

    Mocked up

    Cleaned out the trunk

    Measure

    Cut

    Floor panel done

    Shimmed to level the box

Removed the subs to build the wall

    Mocked up the amps

    Covering the wall panels

    Done

    Installing the amp kit

    Installing the dash kit

Wired up the harness and the speaker wires for the coaxels

    Done

    More wires

    Started the door speakers

Customizing the rings for the wires to go through

    Done

Jordan started on the suede portion of his build

We started to install the headliner

    Door panels reinstalled

    A pillars done

    B pillars done

Time to do some custom mounts for the rear speakers to convert 6”x9” holes for 6” coaxels

Test fitted the suede wrapped deck lid

    Time to start sound deadening

    Rear deck done!

Deadening the trunk lid and under the license plate and tail lights

    Stupid aluminum cut me!

Drilling in some self tapping screws for the lower holes of the plate

My poor phone was covered in MDF by the time we were done!

    Ready to roll!

Are the slots that your trunk mounts pass through uneven or?

Jordan is a new member of the International AllStars but due to an unfortunate happening he lost his show car. So, for now he is using his daily to help promote and support the team. So, the sticker stays

But if you are talking about that little sticker on the rear windshield please help because it has been on the car for who knows how long and has become brittle. I am scared to take it off. I am afraid I'll ruin the defrosting lines.

Go to auto zone and get enough adhesive remover to soak a rag really well and hold it to the sticker until it softens. Then use a plastic razor blade and it should scrap off like jelly.

I just got the suede from Joann's. I bought 6 yards and it was just enough to do all 4 door panels, all the pillars, the rear deck, armrest, and the headliner with a little to spare for mess ups.

The rear seat is going back in, the sound deadening isnt finished yet, so that is why its still out.

Not bad at all. Minus the twist caps to connect the wires for the radio.

Crimp caps are the best thing. Must faster/easier than soldering, but just as effective.
