Default OUCH!!!!! ALL IN THERE....PAGE 3!!!

Here is the beginning of the interior "restore" work. Dash is all taken down except for the heater slider controls. Was trying to figure how to disconnect and decided to quit for the evening so I can have a fresh brain in the morning. But here is where I am.

First pic is the "new" dash. Second is how it was. Last is how it's sitting now. Later, QD.

I'm definitely NOT looking forward to the installation. I'm not very mechanically inclined and I'm already nervous about making sure I have all the wiring in the right spots. Later, QD.

That's what I was thinking. My old dash had the wood grain halfway ripped off. I was going to go wood grain-less, but decided I wanted it. Hence the newer dash having complete wood grain. Getting the wood wheel and shift knob as well. Later, QD.

Got the dash all the way out and the main stuff moved over to the new dash. Here is a preview of how it will look with gauges, deluxe gauges and radio in their positions. Later, QD.

It bothers me when someone goes onto other people's threads and starts running off at the mouth. My whole thing is this, if you don't have anything positive to say, don't say shit! In fact, it would be dumb of me to call you ignorant because that would be a compliment. I'd stoop down a few notches lower to call you stupid. As in your showing off your stupidity. It bleeds through every last one of your post

To QD, I didn't know you knew John, lol. I was up there in the middle of no where last month with a buddy to exchange some parts. I hear he's been trying to get one of the cars on megasquirt. I should call him sometime to see how he's been.

    K series 626. That's right. It's got a K in it.

Hail yeah. He's done most of the work to get my Civic where it is. He's a big part of our OSJC meets. They painted my car, re-lowered it and bumper tucked it. Later, QD.

He's definately good at what he does. If he said he's gonna put an engine in a car, he means it. Take for example the old school Celica with the volvo motor, lol. That shit looks good in there.

Gonna look good QD. I hated swapping the dash on my 240, but the end result was well worth the effort. Your car will be no different. I'll lend a hand if you need an extra set.

Thanks, you two. I'm torn on this because I hate like hail that I started something I'm not sure I can finish, yet I'm halfway home and did this myself. And I don't do this shit. It's nothing to take something apart with just taking out screws and unplugging wires, but putting it back together when you don't know anything about it is different.

I'll definitely keep you in mind if I need help, Echo.

As long as I get this done by July 4, I'm good. Later, QD.

Going to be a BIG difference, and congrats on doing it yourself. I like to think of myself as pretty mechanically inclined, and I still dread any time I have to pull/reinstall a dash.

I'm really liking your CVCC more every time I see it. I was actually looking earlier trying to find a semi clean one, or even another EF for a future project. Can't wait to see the full interior when it's finished!

Just saw this thread. Looks good man! Keep it up, looks like the hard part is over, with the newer dash in hand. Take your time and do it right. Atleast you don't live to far from the horse park, to tow it.

    Lolol.

Got all the wiring and bolt-ons from the old dash to the new one and now all the wiring is together with the new dash in the car. I have to find out what I'm missing now as the car won't start. It just clicks. I'm sure it's a wire under there somewhere as it ran perfectly before I started this. Ran out of light and didn't feel like dragging out the spotlight so I'll get back at it in the morning. Pictures then as well. Later, QD.
