"The Greer-Black-Prudhomme team started to win races almost immediately, and we won just about everywhere we went. It got to the point where guys with Top Fuel cars would call up Keith's shop and ask us where we were going to run that particular Saturday or Sunday. That belonged to Stirling Moss who won the Mille Miglia in 1955. Mercedes built that SLR Speedster bearing his name.

#722 won the Mille Miglia, #20 was driven by Pierre Levegh in the 1955 Le Mans where it crashed into the stands killing 80 spectators.

I've dealth with race cars (per your description). I'll consider a 1100hp Mustang more of a race car than what i've dealt with, even with fire extinguishing systems, data logging, etc.

It would be a 10, but its not straight-axle or altered wheelbase like a true period correct '60s gasser, and those big slicks are not period correct for A/FX either.

Any A/FX car would have been set up as a gasser. F/X meant "factory experimental" which meant they had license to chop the car however they wanted, and the "gasser" treatment made for better launches before they big slicks were available.

Note how the front end is lifted on a straight axle and the rear wheels are moved forward in these pics:

The ones you listed would have ran in the FX class while the original Thunderbolts ran in the 1964 Super Stock class against the Dodge Hemi Ramchargers team.

It was taken in 1964. I don't think there is a solid axel front end on that car like the ones you posted before it. I'm currently looking through Jalopyjournal to see what specs the 1964/1965 cars ran. 1965 really seems to be the first year of the extreme altered wheelbase funny cars. If there were Tbolts with those specs, they would have come in 1965 and not 1964.

Yeah, from what I understand the Ramchargers started the straight axle/raised front in 1960 and by 1965 it started to die out. Mainly because of the better tire technology (cantilever slicks) that allowed the cars to hook up without modified front suspensions, also because trap speeds were getting faster and the raised front/squatting rear was undesirable from an aerodynamic standpoint.
