Ford did make the Cortina. But, Ford did also goto Colin Chapman to help develop a racy version of it. This was to be the Lotus Cortina. Similar to the Lotus Carlton of the 90's.

Another big part of the Lotus Cortina was the coventry climax motor that was developed by DFV Cosworth creator Keith Duckworth.

Negative. It is from the Belgian Touring Car Series. (BTCS)

After Peugeot had enough with the Dakar, they took the 405 chassis and gave it to Citroen.

Yeah he was at Road Atlanta, he owns like 9 vintage race cars, he raced two cars in an enduro at Road Atlanta, which he obviously one. He was clocking in the 1:2*'s and even going balls out in the pouring rain. :cheers:
