Default So after a 10 hour drive yesterday, I present...(350z content)

So I picked this up yesterday. I was originally looking for an S2000, but after I found this car I fell in love with it and couldn't resist. The drive home was like a 5 hour long orgasm

I do have a lot of questions about mod ideas, and where the best place to obtain these mods are... but I'll put those after the pics

    2003 Daytona Blue 350z

Okay, first things first. The front passenger headlight is out, and they aren't HID so I figured now would be the time to go ahead and switch them out. Who should I speak to, or where should I go to obtain the kit?

I also wanted to get some blue lugnuts for the wheels, which ones should I get / where should I get them from? And last but not least, I was thinking about putting some "eyelids" on the lights. I really like how they looked. Those are all the minor things I want done, nothing major until I pay off my other debt :idb:

I checked some of the other threads on there (I couldn't find that one) and they have good information on the cars. Thanks!

I love the s2k, but honestly it was a tad small for me (I am 6'2"). I fit perfectly in it, but if I gain any weight it would be too small for me lol. Plus I kinda preferred the way the Z drove to the S, I like the additional torque of the v6.

Definitely dropping it! That's going to be my first "major" (multiple hundred dollar-mod) that I'm going to do. I'm thinking an inch would do, what do you guys think?

Haha! Thanks bro. I want it to be just to where I can't stick my finger in between the wheel well and the tire...not too low. You think it needs more of a drop?

idk man, i think it depends on the size of the wheel and the drop but with those wheels im thinking 1.5 to 2 should do just fine..

Hey...nice car, I just bought one last week. I was in the same debate with myself over the s2k or the Z. Im glad that I picked the Z! You will love everything but the high priced modifications...

Watch out for oil consumption and a whiny tranny. The '03s had these problems. check warrenty records at a Nissan dealership to see if the tranny was replaced

I think you shouldn't worry about a number of inches to drop it. Worry more about which springs are going to improve it's cornering the most.

    Congrats on the purchase

P.S. Just a heads up, for some reason a lot of people on this site have a personal vendetta against the 350z. Don't worry about them.

Looks good. I really like the wheels. Sounds like your headed in the right direction. I'm not so sure about the eyelid's idea though.

Love your Z! I would get coil-overs so that if you change your wheel size you could adjust it. Maybe some spacers on the wheel?

Thanks bro! Yeah I would love coilovers, but those are def a bit expensive for right now I'll probably just go with some springs and maybe upgrade to them down the road.

Thanks for all the feedback guys! And those exhaust clips do sound AWESOME...man

2003 huh. how many miles are on it? Has it been through a Transmisison yet? I worked at Gwinnett Place for 2.5 years, and those damn things ate transmissions left and right.

Engineers finally realized it in the 05 models.

    just and FYI

Oh, and this exhaust plus Tilton Flywheel/clutch combo.. I give you..

Well I'm not sure if it has or not, but I do have a three year 36,000 miles warranty on it so I'm not too worried

    Thanks again guys!
