    Default I have been Converted.

    So My wife and I just got back from Las Vegas and while we were out there we decided to rent a car to go see Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon. So I got a killer deal on the Hertz ZHZ Corvette It is basically just a C6 with the Z51 package. Car was a ton of fun to drive and you can expect my FC3s to be up for sale in a couple months as I will be buying one. I averaged 26.9MPG with a Almost Constant speed of 85-90mph, Traveled Approx 800 mile and we were on the road for about 10 hours.










    Best place to Eat while your out west.

    And this one is just because you can go to Vegas with out taking out one of these

    hell yea man. The new vettes have gotten nothing but good reviews. In all the magazines i see, its all the high dollar exotics vs the vette, and most of the test drivers favor the vette in most cases. GM really stepped up their game on this one

    I'll be honest with you guys at one point in time while on our way back I was just cruising along and since there is absolutely nothing out there and the roads are fucking strait as hell i just lost track of my speed and hit well above 140.

    At first I just thought you were going to do an LSX swap, but that works too! I can't wait to see what you're going to do with this one. Oh and I'm super jealous. We need to get together sometime and hang out! It's been a while. And same for Dorin, I've heard less from him than you. Lol.

    Because I want all the other goodies that come with the C6. plus that would be anther 6-8k i just do not want to put into my RX i have way too much in it now. Cory we do need to hang out, I have been busy as hell.

    It appears to be around $170 p/day? I'm sure Vegas has some crazy surcharges though. I know one in Atlanta was stolen and totaled a few months ago and I can't find one here...

    Actually the day before we rented the Vette I had reserved a mustang and after having talking with the sales rep she said that when I arrived in the morning to pick it up, if the Corvette was in stock she would let me get it for a $50.00 upgrade. I think I paid $180.00 total for the day that included the under 25 driver fee, gas ( its like $2.18 on the strip and they sold it to you me for $1.85) and Taxes. plus my 5% discount for being an SCCA member.

    sounds like a badass trip man the vette must of been loads of fun if you drove in the canyons but i love my FC cus it is in my price range lol but props if you get the vette but a ls1 in the fc would be nice to man

    ^^ I personally am not a huge fan of the LS1 FCs, plus that would be more money I am dropping into my FC that i really can no longer justify I already have WAAAY too much in it as it is.

    yeah my dad just got an '08 vette base base base model, and it is still the most ridiculous power horse. there's something about knowing that you can beat just about anything you'll come across on the road lol. he let me take it out for an hour or so on 840 in murfreesboro over by nashville superspeedway and i raced an evo VIII (i think not really up on my mitsu's) and an sti and fucking slaughtered them. it felt so amazing lol. you really can't beat the power for the price and they still ride and feel so well put together.

    if i had the money i wouldn't think twice about getting a black one.

    I played with a mustang with the rental but mostly I enjoyed it in the couple little mountain roads I found.

    I force my friends to take me to In-N-Out every time I visit them in L.A. I love it out west, all of my friends moved out their after film school, I'm the only one left on this side of the country. I can't afford the Corvette, but a motorcycle and those straight roads seem reasonable, I learned to ride on those lonely roads in Utah, so it only seems natural.

    I got 26.9 average, the on board comp showed me at 22.5 when I opened it up.
