I despise Honda-Tech lol! The search sucks, the members are 90% japanese wheel nut riders because wheels made in Korea obviously don't roll the same. It was 50/50 on my porsche brake setup, people are like why not just use Accord or NSX calipers? lol! Maybe because they weigh 4 times as much and after doing a 5 lug conversion would cost twice as much lol and not work 1/2 as well?!! Everybody seemed to like my spoiler/splitter but everyone wanted one made for 1/2 what i had into the materials...not counting the time to fabricate it, lol! One of the mods took a month to mail my ECU because his "buddy" works for UPS and can ship it for free. I PAID him EXTRA to send it ASAP because i was using a p72 on a ITR engine lol. 1/2 a dozen PM's and a callout later [where i proceeded to get bashed saying give him time to send it] he finally mailed it. It had been a MONTH! I can't stand one make car forums anyways, they are always bashing other brands like theirs is god's gift on earth. A TRUE car enthusiast respects and acknowledges the good in all makes then a REAL car builder can make anything perform well and look good.

SHow me one car that benefits from having $3000 VOLKS on their cars with a +10 offset on their 92-95 180whp Civic and the REAL PERFORMANCE gains over say, a set of Rotas, and ill consider that statement.

But no, people dont buy those wheels on their honda for performance, its for looks, or for bragging rights.

Im talking about the cars like that S2000 that is posted or that SC300 with the retarded fucking offset that makes it look like a lowrider.

Im talking about the kids on HERE that rock some curbed up $2500 wheels cause they are RARE on their 140hp LS Integra and think they are gods gift to Honda.

Or they buy SPoon brakes for their 140hp powered Integra, or Some $1000 BYS wing that looks like complete ass cheese because its rare and JDM.

haha i hear ya. my truck has SLIGHT treatment of this, but i only did it to cover the crack in teh dash...i tweeded the dash, its getting redone right now (tweed) so itll look nicer, but in essence, let people do what they like. i have people i know that dislike that i'm not making my truck a work horse...i'm like 'how about you blow up another engine in your turbo'd car and let me do me'

Besides that (not trying to call you out) the "offset, wire tuck, lowered, polished bay" cost just as much, or more than building a 11-12 second honda. This is the new phase that the honda scene is slowly leaning to. It went from custom fab work, to widebody's, to JDM now onto this west coast clean look.

Lets face it. I would have a damn 11 second honda right now if I spend all the money I have spent in WHEELS alone ..... BUT its not what I'm into. I would rather buy a tucked harness for 800 dollars than a turbo manifold. I would rather spend 2k on wheels that look good on my car than a built head. I would rather have my car extremely low to the ground and look "hella flush" than be able to beat a mustang from a 30 dig. To each his own.

These bold things make me want to leave the car world other than for transportation FOREVER!!!! I CANT STAND cars that are slammed to no return....where you cant go in anywhere without hearing obnoxious sounds of scraping parts. Its STUPID and makes you look dumb!! My car is stock height and I STILL have to take things at an angle and STILL scrape sometimes. Pisses me off.

As far as painting the ECU cover.....it's whatever....a waste of time IMO seeing the it IS the bottom and cant be seen, but whatever. People get bored and do things just to be themself. I am sure we have all done useless things. But then again you look at those cars at shows that are modded to no end with EVERYTHING you could think of changed in some way.....maybe Evan was going for something like that? Or maybe he was just following a trend of such from places such as honda-tech? Who knows? I dont even know....dont care to really. It's soooo small of a thing that at the end of the day, it will be okay either way. The point is.....why dont we move foward and quit trying to bash each other. Point is proven from both ends.
