Default s2k carbon roof on the way...

i will get some pictures of before and after, but zen motors(sponsor on this site) got the deal to order the carbon fiber roof and do the install. should be sometime next week. just wondering if anyone has any opinions, and what. not a lot of people mod suzuka blue AP1s it seems. atleast ive never seen one. as far as other mods:
intake, exhaust, test pipe, rick's S badges front and rear, rick's S steering wheel badge, tinted head and tail lights(thanks Bucky), and some skunk2 springs. CR carbon fiber radio door, 2008 CR side badges.

yes, it still has stock wheels. im not big on wheels. honestly i was thinkin of just lettin bucky paint them black to match the other black parts and cause it wouldnt cost a whole shit ton.

if you dont like it, i dont care. i like it. but what prompted me to get the hard top in the first place was:
A-soft top already has a small hole. why replace with another soft top when a hard top will not rip? it prevents thieves with knives getting into my car.
    B-looks a lot better.

    discuss.

    update-top came in the mail:

update: just progress pics. mock up fit, etc.

The OEM aluminum hood is probably still lighter. Are you modding the S for form or function?

the hood? i am replacing the top. i have no idea what either of them weigh. weight is not my concern. this isnt going to be an all out race car, nor am i a race car driver. a few cosmetic mods here and there, few bolt ons here and there, and thats about it. function>form. this is my dd.

i figured if its 1k+ for soft top alone, why not spring a few extra bucks for a nice hard top and not have to worry about ripping it anymore. looks better too IMO.

not really looking to do anything else in carbon fiber. i just decided to do the roof cause it was only a little extra and its a lot more of a baller factor.

    only future plans consist of:
-mr Kidd's f20c header whenever he gets around to putting it out..
-paint wheels black. maybe some cheap rotas. theyre cheap and over done but i like them.
these 2 are still a *maybe* but i wont have the first one without the second.
    -75 wet shot
    -k pro+dynotuning

parts are in the mail. ill update when i get info.

Awesome... Suzuka Blue is easily one of the top two colors on a honda ever. Looking forward to seeing this.

i'm not up to date on s2k's, is yours the first gen? I like the 2nd gen rims a lot. They are a little bigger and more attractive.

Leave the carbon alone. I like carbon painted hoods and trunks, but the WHOLE roof...let it show!

Get some AP2 wheels, and have them powdercoated black (except the center caps). Looks sick!

thought the hardtops were easily removable?

well not exactly easy, but not exactly hard though either.

    thats what i was thinking.

didn't know it had to go "under the knife" to have it done.

lol i was thinking 4 latches also but im not sure. under the knife=anytime i drop the car off for anything somewhat serious. i guess engine work would technically be considered sufficient for "knife" but.....i dont think i will ever go that far with this car. thanks for the replies.
