how do you forget to install rotors when doing a brake job?
it would be like forgetting to put wheels back on the car after getting new tires

How do you drive on those for 2 weeks before you have someone look at them??
I dont actually believe that they were installed wrong, more of a driver issue, i have seen many rotors like that, or even just the hats and no rotor left.

You'd be surprised about the stuff I see people driving on all the time. It's really unbelievable sometimes. Not only are they risking there life, but your's also at the same time.
what other way can a rotor be installed?
im guessing the wrong way is the only other way lolOriginally Posted by civictR
i'm going with those rotors needed to be replaced and due to the dropping economy, they didn't replace em and just hooked up the brake pads and made some killer bank off those folks.
Im guessing that they were resurfaced with just millimeters left until it was into the cooling fins. Once they got hot enough and cracked, the face came off.
That my friend is why I do my OWN shit!!!!
Wow, she is lucky she did not... die, or rear end someone with a baby in the car etc...

What's the problem? That's the new slotted rotors, they were at the SEMA show this year...it prevents glazing of the pads.
