I'll just never get into Busas. They're too big. I'd prefer me an Aprilia RS250.
Anyways, great pic skills.
To Revmaynard: Have you ever ridden a bike?
those are some sick bikes
i want a bike soo bad
weak civic
Matt is my wife's cousin and he told me the other night at the family Christmas party that he had gotten sponsored by Tiger Racing to do land speed and drag racing. He said he had a photo shoot sat but didn't say where. Great pics man.
^^ oh no shit! hes a great guy. probably be taking more for him in the future. what are the odds of you seeing his bike on here eh? lol!
1st pic is siiick
Am I missing something here? What has been done performance-wise to these 2 Busas, or are they stock motors (they look to be only lowered)? What race series exactly are they in? When you say sponsored, are they drawing an actual salary from the company, or do they just get parts "at a discount"? Land speed and drag racing are 2 completely different forms of racing, with different suspension setups, gearings, and sanctioning body rules.

yea, matt is a trip. When I told my wife she couldnt believe it eitherOriginally Posted by Dwisforme05
All he told me what that they sponsored him. He didn't elaborate on any details. As far as the racing, he just said that he was gonna be drag racing and land speed, but there is no telling w/ him.Originally Posted by David88vert
either way its a bad mo fo
Are both of the Busas his? One for DR, the other for LS? Or is one bike his backup for the other? What racing organizations is he racing in currently, and what events/classes does he run? Obviously, he must have some experience and decent results if they are sponsoring him.Originally Posted by sr98219
next time i see him ill ask him. he didn't give me his biography. all he did was call me asking for me to take pics of it for tiger racing. so i did it. he has been racing bikes for years is about all i know.
the other bike is not his. its his good friends. he didn't tell me much about this buddies bike.
Those bikes are really nice![]()

i kinda want one now lol.Originally Posted by ilovemyhonda.
not here to start an argument but, do you know anything about bikes? as far as what is done to them. its not getting posted in here. but how can you say looks stock? did you look at the pics? as far as the things you can see, both are extended, full exaust, lowered, now mine i'm NOT going to list all the little nic nac's that you failed to see. lets just say its not stock.Originally Posted by David88vert
as far as racing: i race everywhere i can. i have raced in the AMA Prostar, and plenty of grudge wars, all local events if i'm in town etc. i like the skreet too
now for LSR: do you know the rules? there is nothing that is a big change. only fuel and safty wired bolts. yes the gear changes, of corse but it only takes 15 min. to change to be able to hit the 200 mark. thats my goal for the 1st time out, to hit 200 mph
thanks to all for the GOOD comments.
uh, patterson's on IA! woot woot lol.
Patterson's Knowledge FTW!
def some badass pics of some badass bikes...
and i don't even really like busas!!!
i hate hyabusas, mostly because riders of them are usually the biggest squids, but i really like those bikes, pretty badass
Nah, I wouldn't know anything about bikes, since I've only built a few modded bikes. I wouldn't know anything about Busas.Originally Posted by Patterson

I am referring to motor specifically when I say stock. No mods were listed, so I asked. Since you don't want to say on here, based on your comments, I will ASSUME the bike is not stock in the engine category.
Here's the 2009 rules for AMA. http://www.amadragbike.com/classes.asp
LCR rules? Like I asked before, which sanctioning body are you a member of? ECTA, SCTA, FIA? There are several, and different rules for different classes, so I asked. Sounds like you haven't really gotten involved with that aspect of it yet, which is fine. 200mph with just a gearing change? If so, you have already done some work to the motor, and have at least 225hp. Like I said, I am ASSUMING this based on your prior post.
I have nothing but good comments about the bike. It looks nice, I just want to know what the bike has done that we can't see from pics.
I just wanted to know what classes you are going to run this bike in, and if the other was the backup bike. Don't take it as an attack on you or your bike.
Patterson spoke....... nice bikes ! I wanna see them busas run !

damn nice pics/bikes as always
its cool just did know where you were coming from on the looks stock comment. i have had this one for maybe two months so its far from done. it stayed tore down for one of those but its coming along nicely. but the LSR is just going to start this year for me, but yes ECTA is where i'm at, just going to hit up Maxton. i have a great bunch with me thats going to get us as far as we can get. here are the rules for 08 LSR http://twinjugsracing.com/ecta08mcrules.htm i have heard that the rules will change a little for 09. as far as pro star this year, i'm not going to try to stay with them as much as the past. i will be hitting up the locals, valdosta, gainesville, and commerce. work don't like me taking that much timeOriginally Posted by David88vert
