lots of power to very little weight is good but when you have that much power in that little bit of a car... i dunno... i guess i would put it in a heavier car....

And i know the HC(88-91) 929 shared the same Auto tranny as the FC. and had a rare 5spd option. But it would be nice to see another mazda motor in there..

They don't offer a 2JZ swap kit for the FC yet.
I have the 2JZ swap kit for the FD.
Or rather, I just traded it for a 13B-RE motor that Lethal is currently swapping into my FD....But yeah.
I'd say go V8 or go 13B-RE. Both are easy and fairly inexpensive...out of the choices you listed at least.
Everything else you listed will cost you roughly $6k in motor and parts...Hell, the 2JZswap.com kit for my FD was $2,500 alone. $_$
If you have money to burn, then I'd say just 3-rotor the biatch. 2JZ will end up costing you WAY more than its worth in custom fabrication. IF you still want to do it, talk to my brother Dave at Lethal.

The correct question is: How much money do you have in your budget to do the swap? That will determine what you will be able to do. Anything else is just talk on a forum. How much money do you have set aside to do this swap - and I mean complete with fuel system, rear end, tranny, ems, etc?
will do broQuote:

If you can get V6 and V8 parts super cheap then go with a small block chevy. a potent 350 setup can be made for very little money and be reliable as well. I dont know much about rx7s but what are your plans for the rearend. what will the current diff support and what are your options if the diff wont support enough tq.?
5.0TT
His stock diff won't handle more than about 300tq - if he babies it. He will have to upgrade it.Quote:

Once you get the motor in, and running, you can look at upgrading the setup. Pay attention to the cost of the EMS and fuel system, as well as the tranny, and diff. These things add up quickly. You should probably look at buying an older race car, and swapping the parts over into yours.
A 20B would run you about $17K to do it right.
But TDF sayed it was a pain in the ass and It going to be hella expensive for the next time he does one. LOLQuote:

Go with an LSx. Tons of pre-fabbed parts and info, and a proven great setup.
