Yep! But does look nice when it's always clean

I just recieved some goodies in the mail and should get the rear panel carpet tomorrow

Will be working on sound deadening the interior with Second Skin Audio deadener, before installing carpet and panels. If you ever need to order ask for Anthony he is a great guy and always gives discounts.

I'll be back with pics tomorrow so keep on checking by!

    UPDATE - 10/17/08 - Feels like X-mas!

Pics of the items I recently recieved. I think that about covers everything for the interior. Cannot wait to install. I may take the seats and carpet to a shop so they are professionally done, but still will take a look and see if I can't do this on my own first.

Will be sound deadening this week

    New OEM unmolested steering wheel.

Sexy Black with red stitching seat covers from Tuner Development.

Carpet for the panels behind the seats. I might just re-do all the parts covered in carpet lol! I purchased 2 kinds one is latex backed and one isn't. The non-latex backed is much easier to manuver around tight corners and curves.

Not too much progress on the Z lately.

I'm so ready for a TT swap lol. Last week something happened while driving and now it's making a strange sound.

Does a metal whiring sound through all gears. Reminds me of listening to a circular saw in the background haha.

A video clip of just neutral you can hear it especially starting at :47 seconds.

    http://bp.fiveforty.net/flv-play.pl/...32.mp4?640x360

Was working on cleaning the cone intake filter. Soooo yummy and dirty.

So for now just staying busy with the interior, and I will post back once it's finished.

Hopefully will be pulling the engine soon. We shall see lol.

Drift emporium put a 5.7l titan v8 in a g35 and then attatched a stillen supercharger to it. That us a swap, and a badass car!

I still think K swaps are pretty impressive. Takes a lot of money and time to do that by your self.
For example this bad ass build up thread
mr.coupeee...k20 coupe build up ish nish (lots o pics)

Bswaps yeah i agree with you. So many people have done it and anyone can do it if they have some kind of common sense and tools.

Sorry for the thread jack.Your 300 is coming along nice.

    Demolition time muahaha!

Took out the seats, and carpet to replace with new black carpet.

    Hey look! Free money!

A little bit of sound deadening. Closed cell foam from Second Skin Audio. Nothing extreme here, needed the foam for a little more padding under your feet. Most of the sound deadening sheets will be used for the trunk and doors to keep rattling to a minumum. Plan on installing an Image Dynamics IDQ 12v3

The carpet was just thrown in there....

And magically turned into this after 3 hours lol.
The seats were placed back into the car to make sure everything was in the right place.

More pics for everyone hooray! Most of the suede installed.

Got bored so I took a pic of the shifter...red/black is hot!

My favorite Kaminari sides that I got from a friend of mine with a slick top Z.

They're pearl white but will have to be taken back down to primer at least, and re-painted.

Have been debating lately whether to swap a TT VG30 or RB26 single turbo.

The VG will have forged internals for the same price of the swap of the RB without forged internals.

    Tough decision.

    Cannot pass emissions with RB...unless I have connections....which I don't lol

I guess I should go with the VG since for the same price I can have a stage 3 built with forged internals/bored out/0 mileage long block.

    Sigh...two turbos sound sexier also!

Yes they're rated to get 750rwhp...but I have since updated my list with PE 850cc injectors with 300 degree fuel rails and changed out to GT BB 3071R turbos.

    Here is info...
    http://www.z1motorsports.com/product...products_id=46

Read up on TT.net and there are plenty of members running 740cc with ~700hp without problems.

Let's not forget this...He's running 720cc with nitrous keep that in mind.

    Thanks!

Working on the center dash piece to fit over the double din. There weren't any double din faceplates made for the 300zx except for the RHD version in Japan and it won't fit on the US version since the dash piece curves in the opposite direction.

When it's posted it'll be primered. The only thing I don't know about is how to finish it.

The idea right now is paint it black with Fairlady Z in red pearl text on the blank space above the headunit. 2nd idea is to maybe make it carbon fiber to match the shift knob.

Good thing is if I paint it first it can always be re-sanded down, but with cf it won't be as easy.

i dont think the hood would eve close with the RB...but then again someone stuffed a 2J into the chasis with some serious custom work and the hood fits just fine.

congrats on taking on such a large project, whichever motor you are going to pick, good luck on your conversion

Ah well the VG30TT is what I'll be going with. The RB26 fits fine in the Z and it's been done a few times. Check out HybridZ.org and they've got a ton of crazy engine swaps.

I'm back with a quick teaser to make the thread interesting again. Was bored since it's cold out and decided to paint my toy Z car.

The color is the same color I will be using to paint the 'vert. It was a pain to mask everything off this thing. Used an air brush for the body. Took a paint marker an painted the inside of the wheels gold with a silver lip.

The red is almost like the original Red Cherry Pearl, but a little darker with more gold pearl in the paint.

Will be back later in the week with new mod pics. Been working slowly on it.

    Before...

    After....

    Secret Red Paint lol
