Would the orange peel be as bad on white paint, and is white any harder/easier than most normal dark colors?

My car is Black now, was red originally. The paint job was horrible maaco style cheapo job. the black is peeling to the red undercoat. if i completely sanded it would white be all that difficult?

no just sand it down to the red.
im my opionion i use to HATE buffing white cars, cuz you cant see what your doing..looks great inside(shade) then take it outside and its like holy hell whre did all those dull marks come from..ha

its only that bad of orange peel because i didnt set the gun right..i just started spraying.

Now all you have to do is get rid of all that Pep Boys crap on there and get the car to look halfway decent to match the $150 paint ob. You did better than I could, that's for sure, but aside from the paint ob, the car is still hideous and APC material. Later, QD.

i paint car's also and your's look's great. it's kinda hard to believe you only have $150.00 in material but everyone has a hook up somewhere. i paid $350 for 3 quarts of milano red base on the last car i painted. but like i said "looks great" +1.

^ well like my DIY posts states i already had MOST of the materials at the house..i just needed the paint and drop cloth and a few misc things i got at harbor freight for like 5$ at the most each.
i only used a quart of color and still ahve little over 1/4 of it left! and almost the full gallon left of clear.ha

I see you got the smart clear, how you liking that?

The car's paint looks pretty decent now, after you've wet sanded and everything, nice job.
