    - I've had an '88 Turbo II, which with that, and my brother's first SR20 S13, one of the FIRST in Atlanta... We made a nice name for ourselves back when having ~300rwhp was actually impressive to people.

    - This makes my 3rd actual FD. The first one I only had for about 6 months, due to some unfortunate circumstances w/ finances and blowing the motor. I decided that if I was gonna get an FD for any reason, I wasn't going to stay rotary. I LOVE the way they sound, I love how simple the engine bay is to work with, but I wanted something more reliable. The FD is the perfect sized car for me, inside and out, I love every curve of the car.

    - It's funny, because when I was home on Leave in late March, I was actually looking more towards doing doing an Aristo 2JZ-GTE swap into an SC300, or going NA-T. My bro and the guys at Lethal convinced me otherwise. "So you're telling me that you're actually TRYING to compare having a turbo SC300 to one of the most renowned Japanese sports cars ever made?" in the words of Derick. lol.... That kinda made things a little more clear to me. ^_^

    So here I am, now!

My 65k original mile, 1 owner, unmolested FD is being brought to me this coming Sunday from FL.

It's red w/ tan interior. Compression died from sitting for so many years. Better that, than being beaten to hell IMO....I was planning on having my bro and the guys at Lethal put in another motor and either keep it as a bone-stock DD, or just sell it, if anyone's interested. I'll probably just throw it up on Autotrader and see if I get any bites.

I'll definitely ask my brother to take some pics of it when it arrives.

I guess I can't say "Rotary powaaaaaaaaa!!!" like I used to, anymore though. lol :P

that works for me. I love FDs and want one, but I'd probably put an older gens engine in it as the FD rotaries are prectically glass and the 1st gens are concrete, the 2nd gens are iffy depending on how they were treated. I look forward t seeing the project done and I don't blame you for the Fd's reliability scare. I can defend 1st and 2nd gens as well as Rx-8s, but I'll be the first to say stock-block FDs are headaches, so I understand where you're gonig with it.

^^ Yeah, I drew a frame of a man running on each fan blade. That is him running at idle

My Turbo II was fkn' ROCK SOLID. I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVED that car!!!! For a 17 year old, with my brother being about my age now, with his SR20'd S13, one of the FIRST in Georgia....MAN, those were the days..

    I miss those days...

Personally, I think the 13BT from the 2nd gen's is WAAAAYYYYY more reliable than the 13B-REW. As a matter of fact, I'd say it's a FACT that they are...

My first FD that I had back in late 2005, early 2006 that I'm so unfortunately renowned for...was a BIG mistake. I was way too over my head financially, and too inexperienced to really troubleshoot and fix the problems I was having before it was too late. BEAUTIFUL car, for those that remember. I know Drop Top Miata Mike sure does. I still have pics from a great photoshoot we did together..

But man, I'll tell you what! With this new FD coming this weekend, I'm so damn excited to finally start making more progress towards my project, I'm just so...HAPPY!

    XD

    so where is the poll.

    I say black>everything else.

But usually its not the color of the car, its what you do with the car.

Yo, Dom! Race for pinks? j/k j/k

    I agree, of course. hehe

    :P

Black > White > Blue > Dark Grey > Red

    *nod nod*

I was kinda hoping people would post some color/body combinations that they like on the FD's.

straight white if you like cops, black if you don't lol black and white kill the others. the thought of red is expensive as hell and not worth it IMO
