Alright, I've held it in long enough.

For the people posting up volvo station wagons and old ford econocars, I'm calling BS that if they were sitting side by side, keys in both, you would drive away in a 1980's euro escort or a volvo station wagon. I can understand the Z06s and M3's but honestly....lets be real.:dunno:

Am I way off base here?

You would have to have some type of mental retardation if someone walked up to you with keys to a volvo station wagon and keys to a gtr, and you take the volvo.

I guess compared to the GT-R, the Volvo V70R seems pretty out of place...but then again, buy one of those and use the leftover cash to build it up? The GT-R really does nothing for me. The numbers are extremely impressive, but the car just doesn't appeal to me...know what I mean? I'll stand by the Sagaris or the RS5 when it's released.

Yeah I'm not trying to hate, I mean I put a JDM Odyssey, so I'm not saying it has to be a super sports car, but I honestly can't believe that someone would turn down one of the fastest cars in the world, (brand new and fully warrantied) for an 80's rally car/beater, not matter how rare. :2cents:

In a realistic situation, they would probably take the GTR if they had a choice between the cars and they were free. They are just being GTR haters, most of these people are probably just bitter it out performs their car. In the respective price range, I would take a z06, or a Bandit III. Most likely the Bandit III though.

well if were talking about a FREE car, why do we have a price range? my understanding was that the cars posted were to be what we would rather spend the money on.

if the above situation happened, i would drive the GTR home, list it on ebay, and buy a couple awesome cars. i just really dont care for the car.

+chassis re-enforcement
+,minor suspension work
+a really good tuneup, new fluids all around belts etc.
+rebuild the brake calipers and transmission and differential (don't want those failing on me)

then call it a day with a badass DD.

The point of this thread is "what you would you rather have for the going price of the GT-R or around similar price and year?".
