But he was stating the $/performance and i gave him an answer.

Of and the atom = real man's gearbox.
Yeah they are both cars and both have four wheels, I think the similarities stop there. One doesn't even have doors for ****s sake.

I'd love to see the top 10 production list that doesn't include the GT-R. I can't think of too many cars out there that has shaken up its market like the GT-R. Is the Zr-1 above it? If you look at performance yeah but there is much more to what makes a car great than track numbers.

A 911 GT3 is amazing because it competes with Ferrari's for much less and is an amazing driving experience, are there cars out there that would mop it up? Sure but when you take account for everything it has to offer it is (to me) the best production car around.

The GT-R isn't much different, for half the price this car goes toe to toe with a 911 Turbo with astonishing performance figures for what it is. It has been tested in all weather conditions and what impresses me about the car is that.. I can go to the track and have an amazing day then take the very same car to the ski slopes if I so desired. It truly is a top notch performance vehicle that is practical in every sense of the word.

ZR-1, for $110,000 it is a relative bargain but I think Chevy should have gone with a new platform for that price range and that kind of power.. set it apart from the Vette and let the Z06 be the top of the line for that model.

Can't argue with a 911 being the best. Surprised i didn't say it first.

again were talking about all around cars that regular joe smo would buy..

I love the noble also... but i would not even think of it as a car i would buy and drive on a daily or even weekly basis.

agreed, like i said in another thread corvettes are bout the best bang for your buck, and the relaly hasnt changed in over 50 years,so that speaks volumes for chevy to keep the same market while making the thier cars better and complete with cars way above thier price

If I hadn't sold it already, the GT-R would be at Road Atlanta this weekend at the NASA event running HPDE-4. My GT-2 (640RWHP and Motons) was capable of 1:35's with me driving and a good bit faster with a Pro driver. I have turned 1:35's in my Evo (515AWHP, suspension & brake mods) at Porsche Club events where I was 1-2 seconds faster per lap than 996 GT-3's with Pro drivers at the helm. I have no doubt that the GT-R can turn those times or better, bone STOCK.

I am a Porsche owner and I can confidently say that Nissan has raised the bar for all manufacturers. The GT-R is a fantastic all-around car...drive it daily in all weather conditions, take it to the track and run faster times than most prepared cars, and then drive it home in comfort.

Are you going up there this weekend? I saw a silver e30 M3 with gold magnesium centerlock BBS wheels and a brushed chromoly rollcage with the fuel fillers where the license plate would normally be sitting on a trailer in traffic yesterday headed north and I'm praying that car was going to the event. How's that for a run-on sentence, lol. I'm determined to find it!
