    Default 900hp 68 vw bug.

    This is my buddy's bug. He is the one I am building my car with right now. His car has a supercharged Mopar 416 small block and 727 torqueflite tranny, twin carb (750 CFM Demon). Still able to be on street with all lights functional, insurance, and tagged. Full tube frame. It pushes 900 whp and weighs 2300 lbs with driver and full fuel (driver= around 190 lbs). I just thought I would share some pics of this. It is definately well put together. A lot of time and money ($38,000 plus) was put in this. (This car was built because the guy got drunk and said he wanted to beat Herby. lol. Enjoy. Any comments welcome!

    Correct, it runs in the 9's. But it is actually set-up more for the 1/8th mile.

    Not bad. I would have swapped a WRX STI engine in instead of that though; it could look completely stock while putting out ridiculous amounts of power.

    lol. It had a 360 in it. 500 rwhp and around 460 TQ. It looked completely stock. But he was going more for the wow factor... He didn't want it to look completely stock. He said what is the fun of that? lol.

    Yeah, he's been racing it for a while. Yeah I'm the one with the se-r. but I have a 94 civic that they are building for me now with that 360 that was in it... Not sure the when the time of finishing will be though...

    yes sir... No offense to everyone with a Honda... But I get tired of the B18 and H series swaps. Got the motor and tranny for 3000 and it's fully built. Just sittin on a stand... Civic is down and is being done for a tribute car... I figured why not take my time and do it right... Hopefully it'll be worth the time and effort.

    yeah, read above posts. post #12 I believe... There is another lime green bug that looks like it that was down there at race track but it didn't have the grill, or the motor...

    Yeah they are definately crazy... and that's what he enjoys speding his money on. they have a vette with 2500 hp. It's a drag car. It has a mopar engine in it also. They are Mopar fanatics. He has an older GTX all original. (PPL at AMS friday night might have seen it in the show n shine) But anyways, thanks all.
