My Buell...
here's the buell as she sits now.... cut a lot of the plastic off.. mounted some turbulent flashers on her... am going to either get some smaller stem mirrors or some bar ends next.. prolly different handlebars too.... (still undecided whether i'm gonna keep it or not... either way i'll be putting this stuff on her regardless...) lmk what ya'll think!!!!
does she have a name yet cause she's sexy...

honestly, i never like them either till i started looking into bikes this year... then i fell for the naked/streetfighter look... then i ran across this for the perfect price... it's the perfect size for a beginner too... so i went for it... it just needs a little tweeking to give it that "look" that i want...
naked bikes ftw. paint everything that is not red black. and it will look mean. nice bike

i love those bikes, something about them they just look sick to me. alot of ppl hate on buells, but i also like that i never ever see them on the road, plus the exhaust note is amazing

that's one thing i love about mine... it sounds very good.. has aftermarket buell exhaust on it... sounds amazing... my room mate said mine sounds louder/better than his...
(i've not seen his in person yet.. he keeps it at his parents.)

i use to hate them myself... i remember the first buell i saw on mission impossible lol when tom cruise was riding whatever he was riding.. i was like... "that's hideous" (pretty sure it was a buell).... my dad has a full dresser harley, so do all his friends, and they always told me i needed to get a buell... my response every time was "no! they look retarded"....
then i started looking for bikes within the last few years... saw some "streetfighters" and thought they looked really good... got on craigslist just looking up bikes and saw this buell and fell in love with it...
i do with that it had the look that the stock exhaust has... it kinda fills some of the gaps in.. gives the bike a nice look...
but i like the sound of this one so much that i don't want to go back to stock...
i took the rear wheel hugger off just because the one on the bike looked awful.. it covered the belt and everything.. kinda looked awkward... i do wish i could find a better looking one to set the bike off though!

Mission Impossible 1 or 2? They were rocking Triumph Daytona's (full fairing) and Speed Triples (naked) in 2...
That's actually when i first fell in love with the streetfighter look. I love all the new buells, especially the xb's. They got the look down. The bike in mission impossible was a triumph speed triple. Props on the bike, i really like what you've done so far.

speedminded, staggered... i guess i was wrong on the bike... i just remember watching it.. and some one saying... "man that is one sick buell >insert model here<"
i don't remember which movie... i just didn't like the style of the bike at all..... or any other actual buell i saw after that...
matter of fact i hated my roomates when i first saw pics.... xb12 lightning.... but it def grew on me the more i looked into them....
speedminded... what seats are you talking about??? i don't know of any others that'll fit this bike... except for ones made for it specifically.. there is a low pro seat i want to get... made by buell...
and corbin makes an extremely sick seat for it too..... but they are like 500 so... lol..

i'll agree, it's not the most powerful bike out there.. by any means... but it's quick enough for me...
if i wanted to be like everyone else out there i woulda waited and bought your typical rocket... like every other r6-1/cbr/ninja you see out there... this bike looks great, sounds great, and has a decent amount of power for a beginner rider... and that's what i am...

I'm not sure how the frame is structured underneath the seat itself but all it's there for is to hold a battery, taillights, and place to sit....I'm sure you can make another bike's rear section fit.
its really weird, as i post today that i rarely ever see buells i saw two today on canton highway, one lightining xb12 black with the yellow wheels, then later i see a firebolt xb12 same color combo, i was thats kinda ironic. freakin love both of those, but lightning way way more then the firebolt

i do not like the front fairing on the firebolt... the rest of the bike looks great though...
