QD, What you think?

bought the car last summer for a small price. and have since, fallen in love with it. i bought the car knowing the original motor was messed up. the car had been sitting for nearly 20 yrs. in one of my dad's friend's father's field. the interior is nearly perfect, everything is there and in good shape.minus the dash which has a few cracks from sitting for so long. there is no major rust on the car at all. just a few sun spots, only surface rust. started to sand them down and primer till i get the final paint done. i bought the cvcc engine from an earlier year model accord.(mine is an LX), put a new clutch, slave cylinder, clutch and brake master, all new brakes, fuel lines, new set of tires, painted the stock wheels(looked like crap from sitting) replaced all bulbs and such, all new belts, full tune-up, new coil, i had a hell of a time doing it but i sourced a gas tank for it( the previos one was rusted out, bad.) and i ended up ordering a new carb. the one that was on there was actually the incorrect. i had the car timed and tuned. and it ran great. it was actually my DD for a while.tried to get all to get the bugs worked out. one night on the way home from work the car seemed real sluggish, so i stopped and noticed it was smoking, and come to find out. the head gasket went.so now it sits again, just waiting on an engine hoist so i can rebuild the engine. here's a few pictures.

yeah, i love the color and the look of the car.once i get the motor rebuilt it's getting a fresh coat of paint.

thanks.i finally got the thing running and driving so all that sorta went on hold.haha. but yeah, it's sitting till the motor is done, so i'll have time to do all of the things i've been beglecting to do. rep'd.

VERY awesome shiit, man. You definitely need to get that damn thing going. I'd love to have an older Accord with us. What year is this one? You know the engine in my Civic is from a 79 Accord (1.8L CVCC). I've always loved the twin round lights on each side. Most definitely hurry up and move that car.

thanks.i really appreciate it. but mine is a 1980 Accord LX 5 speed. and we're running the same motor.haha. but i've had a hell of a time finding parts for this thing. i found a local guy around here to set the carb and all. he used to work for Honda when this thing was new. so i had a little help there. and dont get me started on the vacuum setup.haha,
