actually thats not really that good...

A few years back me and my dad built a 2nd gen Trans Am with a heavy ass pontiac 400. It had around 700hp (N/A, no spray) and ran high 10's on nitto street tires.

I mean ****, there's videos all over youtube of stock C6 Z06's running mid 11's on street tires, and high 10's on slicks. Hell there's even a guy with proof that he ran 10.981 on stock goodyear eagle F1 run-flat street tires.

I'm just saying, he would have been better off to stuff a build Gen 3 GM small block under the hood, or even a built older gen 1/2 sb.

You know how the drag's are. Sometimes 10 second cars just wont hook up. Sometime's 11 second cars hook right and run faster than expected. It's not always a HP issue. It could be heavy or something. Running a higher rear end ratio for the street, stuff like that.

Yeah look at his 60' 1.70 on street tires. Vettes hook very well. Id say this car is not made for drag racing and it has to be babied out of the hole if I had to guess it was prob. a 2.0-2.2 60' but prob put up around 140 on the big end. Like its been said a car with less power and good suspension can run faster than a higher HP with ****ty suspension.
