yeah. time consuming as hell though. especially when it's got an exposed interior, engine, frame, etc. like this one. All i need is a blueprint and a lot of time.Originally Posted by redGT
Looks good... I had to use something like that in technology class one time, was a pain in the a**, but got a B in there so.................................
"Damn, Its Tyler"RaceReadyDevelopments

looks good... about how long did this one take you?
Back to being stock and slow
lol stay away.. STAY AWAY... I still have nightmares about rendering. But that's cause I never got to do it as something I enjoyed.... It was something I had to do for class.
Maya can pretty easily be found on a torrent site, or if you're on a PC and want something a bit more user friendly, try out Rhinoceros. The renderings are more basic, but I think that the Rhino tutorials are better than Maya's, and Rhino is a good way to learn your commands before stepping up to Maya (think of it like MS Paint vs Photoshop).
BUT, to do successful renderings, you have to be VERY detail oriented. You think "oh... I'll leave that curve out.. it's not important" and then next thing you know, your car rendering turns itself inside out.
And it's pretty RAM intensive, especially when you export the rendering... and speaking from experience, nothing sucks more than working on a project for hours and hours, and then your computer crashes when you click the render button and you lose the whole fxcking thing.
Nice job on the T Bucket, though.
Fuck stance. Stance is for kids in skinny jeans with Justin Beiber haircuts. You don't need stance when you got swagger.
Isn't this the program Gran Turismo was made with?
That and most of the other games out there...Originally Posted by simontibbett

I haven't even started modeling the wheels and tires yet... those are just placeholders for mocking it up and getting the stance right.I'll post up some nice renders when it's finished and i put materials and lighting in.

nice man. I never really used Maya much, but did alot with 3ds max and 3ds VIZ. I got max 6 still on my lap top. Do you use Maya for the rendering or a different program?
i just used maya for rendering this out. it depends on what the project is for. most of the stuff i do for class can be rendered in maya... either that or my professor just takes a look at the model itself without having to render anything.Originally Posted by LS2ner
