It is from a dealership - it is LHD. And those ARE dealer plates. The covered badges is proof that some1 high up at Nissan HQ has the m=car - prob for testing to see how the car works in everyday use. Otherwise it wouldn't be covered badges.
And the color choice goes along w/ the badges being covered... they chose the color that would attract the least amount of attention.

That's not the case with all females, just most on IA.
It's obviously a real world shakedown, seeing as it's been debadged and/or had the badges taped. Subaru did this with the STi in a city near the nurburgring, and the car was still covered in tape and random body pieces to camouflage it. I suppose Nissan didn't bother too much since the release date is so close and it's already been unveiled, it just isn't for sale yet.
It's funny that it's parked at Wendy's though.

Regional offices of automakers usually take one car and loan it to different dealerships to show off to the salespeople and demo to high profile customers. Hell about 4 months before the Lincoln MKX came out, I drove it for 3 days. It's not like it's a huge deal.

How would you know if it had overheating problems or not? The car isn't even out yet.
Also obviously swapping won't be a hot thing right away considering the drivetrain is pretty close to brand new and doesn't have the aftermarket support, YET. Also you can't really go to pull a part (or pick a part, whatever its called) and grab an engine for $1k anytime soon.

The Supra came in a rare metallic brown color (feel free to chime in on what it's called) that was hot in my opinion.
