he had bolt ons, and I was running a jdm H22A type S swap with JUN cams, Euro R IM, stock air box with mugen lid and filter, Mugen header, A'PEXi N1 catback, and a VAFC.

EDIT: I think I was running a chipped P28 at that time, not a VAFC

I'm not the kid of guy who just likes a car for it's history. I agree that it's ugly, and I think if you truly tried to look at it as a normal car and look past what it represents, you'd agree. I'd never pay price inflated by a) age b)heritage or c)popularity. I'd get a car that is A) fast B)well built C)luxurious or D)all of those. Making a Porsche 2007 911GT3 a much better choice over that car.

here was the scenario. He had boltons, and I was running a built jdm H22A type S swap, with JUN cams, Euro-R IM, chipped P28, mugen air box, mugen header, a'pexi exhaust, upgraded ignition, and a 8300 rpm rev limiter. I bounced the rev limiter at 166, and he wa about 6 car lengths behind. That setup was good for about 215whp or so.

oh yea, we already raced, he toasted me, but when he first installed his turbo and he was running low boost we were dead even, and that was before my test pipes and a 10-15whp upgrade :D

paul hyuhn with the other boosted RSX we raced the other night and he pulled me by a car and half.. but he's close to 300whp..

im well aware that less weight = less horse power to make the same time/speed. however you want to put it.

my 350z is 260rwhp with almost exactly the same torque, however if you raced a stock 350z and won by SIX CAR LEGNTHS he can't drive. IF INFACT you were running 215 fwhp then i dont doubt that you beat him.

I said I estimated 215whp, I dont really know how much I was making. I never had it dyno'ed. The JDM type S is good for almost 200whp stock. I had JUN c spec cams, other bolt ons, a good tune. I'm sure that was good for another 15+ whp, maybe more.
