nothing against the 350z, its a nice car, but think about this logically.

How many 350z's do you see on the road? I see at least one or two a day. How many porsche's do you see? Maybe one a week unless you live in a rich area, in which case you too would be driving a porsche.

I would take a 1980 porsche over a new 350Z any day. The porsche will keep gaining value, where the 350Z loses value from the day you drive it off the lot. Buy a 350Z and in 5 years it will be worth half of what you paid for it (or less), buy a Porsche (especially a classic) and it will hold its value a lot better, and maybe be worth more than you paid after 5 years.

I agree with half of that statement.. But i usta live in dunwoody now live in lawrenceville about to move to alpharetta and yet i see just as many porsche's ass 350's.. I see more 350's then rsx's (base+types)

Personally, I'm not a fan of the stock 350Z wheels, nor of painting stock wheels, period.

This is thanks to 240 owners who think painting their stock S13 or the stock S14 rims black...it's just fkin' homo.

Now, in the first pictures, I think his rims do look bad...but the 'well photographed' ones look good, and I'm sure in person, it doesn't look too bad.

It's very "JDM"-ish, but in comparison to the rims being stock and not painted, I'd say they look much better painted.

P.S. Out of completely boredom, I actually read this entire thread. x_X

i definitely see as many porsches as i do 350's in dunwoody/alpharetta.. they're very common in middle class areas.

I'm in Midtown (GT) and I without a doubt see FAR more Porsches than I do 350z's...just depends on where you live.

Now, my take on this whole argument...Newer Porsches are nicer than 350z's (I'd put the Boxster on par, just because of quality and handeling). As far as build quality is concerned, 80s porsches aren't that hot. Every one that I've ever encountered just feels really cheap (lots of plastic, doors sound like crap when they shut, just generally not put together well). 350z's and newer Porsches feel leaps and bounds better, both feel extremely solid.

2) Why do you people insist on comparing a 20 to 30+ year old car to newer vehicles? Have you ever driven a 280zx or Z31 300zx? Tell me how they compare in "build quality" to a 80's Porsche 911?

2nd your saying you see more porsche or as many as 350zs?? WTF? think about what your saying? compare it brand by brand.. nissan/porsche.. whoever says they see more porsches than nissans is... um.. ya.. look at how many nissans were sold in the USA last year and how many porsches.. 350z's are more common than any porsches out there..

Brand to brand you're right, I deifnitely see more Nissans. Model to Model (any porsche to 350z) you're right. However, that wasn't the initial argument. The argument was that he sees more Porsches than 350z's. Now obviously this is going to vary with where you live, but I can tell you with near certainty that I see more Porsches than 350z's on a daily basis.

LOL funny thread... I valet in buckhead... and honestly i cant stand the old ass porches.. ive driven ****ed up ones to very nice restorted racer style... I hate the cabins of them... it takes alot to make them look presentable and nice... Alot of people think their **** is tight but still is a old ass car... to me i only give credit to those that drive older cars if it is comparable to a new car... wtf a crack dash is a crack dash.. or faded leather with holes is just that faded leather with holes... a blown clutch is a blown clutch.. now i have no idea what kind of shape ur porche is in but if its not off the lot clean... LOL 350z stock off the lot FTW...

And to anyone I can get just as much ***** walking then i can in a car... only time a car will effect your ***** is if you drove around in a ferrari or lambo... bently or some ****... porche cars arent ventage until you get to the gt2 gt3 stage... carreras are nice but overpriced in almost every categorie they are put in...

A FTW with the ricer setup... I like my car to drive smooth not like a last leg horse headed to the slaughter house!!
