How to half ass paint a Ninja Turtle Car in 2 days & argue with other S13 owners

I felt that maroon was boring, so I was going for a green pearl. What I got was more of a money-ish green pearl, and with the help of blue painters tape, resulted in a crapload of ninja turtle jokes. Im switching over to a better fitting driver side fender and pignose bumper OINK OINK! Heres the progress.


Start out with THIS:










Take THIS:





Mix it up with some GREEN:




Get some foam rollers and lather it on:



And be amazed.


Although its not done, and looks like some pale turqoisey green, its actually the color of money with gold flake. I expect it to get darker as it dries, and I add more coats. Thats only one coat.




And here is Jeremy with his Sil80 Rising Sun Hood Project going on right behind me.

Drew out the hood design:




SPRAY PAINT white (dont mind the overspray :P)




Adding the red:




Finished Project:






And the FINALE:

Update: Beginning of day 2 pics. This stuff dries fast as hell, it started raining and the paintjob isnt even 12 hours old, and its cured. Anyways, the pearly effect went away when it dried, leaving me with seafoam green lol. I dont know if I like it yet, I might be going black and be done with it. Depends on how far I want to go with this project.

i actually tried this on my 240 it looks like crap i sanded it all back off and flat blacked it

plus that paint will never fully dry its not the same as the **** they use in canada do your research first

you speak like you've done this before...in which case, you must have failed miserably, because as soon as coat 2 goes on after I wetsand, I will have enough paint to last another 15 years. This is oil based enamel, we had to thin it out. It is actually looking a tad bit better, but I needed a crazy color to go with what I want for this car. I am no where near done with it, Im planning something for this car that you dont see everyday, Im kind of excited but nervous because its hard to pull off what Im trying to accomplish. We will see, but if I fail, its only 30 bucks and a couple hours of chilling with my friends. Learning experience.

Yes it was painted with a roller, yes it looks like crap, but if he would have rattle canned the entire car, would it look better?? Don't think so.. And how much would it cost to buy enough cans of paint and primer to cover the car? I'm almost positive that it would be more than $30. Just make sure that you buff, polish, and wax......... unlike me.
