    Talking making a turbo manifold

    I got all the material i need to make a turbo manifold. Tonight i got the collector tacked up and i will be taking it in to work tomorrow to tig it. I will post pics of progress in this thread...............i used 1 1/2" schedule 40 304 stainless







    i got the collector welded up. tomorrow i am going to weld the flange to it









    i got the manifold all tacked i just have to take it to work tomorrow and tig it......










    I finally finished my manifold up tonight..... tell me what yall think

    did you make one a while back that the pipes just looked way to skiny cause this one looks like its gonna be hoss

    What did you use to cut the pipes you used for the collector?

    a chop saw, i started using a horizontal band saw but it broke.

    thanks josh. i still need a water pump for the intercooler and a the tank for the intercooler thats pretty much it besides making intercooler piping and an exhaust

    still fighting the turbo kyle? did the car run with the other manifold you made?

    anyways this manifold is looking good so far.

    no i still havent driven it yet. i have changed my mind on the top mount and went with a forward facing turbo setup

    ya i read that part,but i was kinda asking my own question if mig welding would withstand the heat?cuz i only have a mig welder at my house.

    yea i think that if you mig weld it that it will hold.......... i had a obx manifold about a year ago that cracked and a mig welded it and it held up good

    what bout welding cast to stainless? i cut my OEM header and got the header flange from it.mayb ghetto but it should not crack.lol

    can u get the weld els at home depot?
