    I read in several places that the F stands for fast.
    I like it, but a huge thumbs down for no manual tranny offered.

    Oh yeah... It sucks that of all of the flavors that they offer for the IS, the only one you can shift yourself in is the least powerful and slowest.
    IS-F auto only...
    IS 350 auto only...
    IS 250 manual available

    i like this car. but it looks alot like the camry. so i would never buy either one.

    **going down the road in the camry and seeing IS** "damn i wish i would've spend 5 more grand and gotten me that car.

    8-speed manumatic?

    wow. auto tractor trailer tranny ftl. definately just needs a nice 6 speed manual or sequential manual.

    also, it's got a Veetak simulator, which is gay

    Right indeed, however given the great 'success' of the MB 7 speed trannies, I honestly don't think it's necessary. Hopefully lexus did a better job than benz on having more than a 6 speed in a passenger car. Overall, I like the car, I just think the two things I mentioned are a bit more of a 'hey look what we have' feature than function.

    Not at all. I'm well aware that they eventually got the bugs worked out, however when they were first introduced, they were notorious for losing the valve bodies and locking themselves in 2nd gear.
