thanks again guys!
Wow! I hadn't noticed how much has changed since this post was started. So, It is time to update!!!
Had Paul's Custom Exhaust in Snellville install my new exhaust setup
When you arrive and pull into the garage bay behind the facility you are greeted with this work of art.
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f2...austIns-35.jpg
After some coaxing and ramp work we were able to get my car up on the drive on lift to begin the work.
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f2...austIns-34.jpg
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f2...austIns-26.jpg
Some pics of my original install I had. This is a great example of a poor install and bad choice in materials. The craftsmanship is horrible and Paul noticed it right away. He said, "We are definitely getting rid of this and starting all over! I can't let you leave with this still on your car."
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f2...austIns-29.jpg
The stock Y-Pipe with catalytic converter
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f2...austIns-31.jpg
The new Toyomoto Y-Pipe and Remus STYLED Exhaust Mufflers. So nice and shiny!
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f2...austIns-28.jpg
Mocking up the Y-Pipe to the Headers. There was a slight issue since the Y-Pipie is also made for the IS300 it is not meant to fit on the GS300 right where the two pipes come to one there was slight rubbing on the heat shields and Tranny plate.
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f2...austIns-22.jpg
So, Paul and Matt decided to heat up the pipe and bend it out of the way towards a more desirable direction instead of cutting and extending the Y-Pipe. They really wanted to keep the look of the install clean and bending the pipe was a more desirable option.
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f2...austIns-19.jpg
There is now a hint of blue where they did the bend. Looks pretty cool to me. Too bad nobody will ever see it!
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f2...haustIns-8.jpg
Paul decided to do a straight pipe till the rear axle to make another Y-Pipe to the mufflers. Here they are fabricating the Y-Pipe.
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f2...austIns-16.jpg
The product
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f2...austIns-12.jpg
Time to mock up one side of the exhaust. Paul wanted a clean install so he did a one piece pipe from the Y and bended it to fit.
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f2...austIns-10.jpg
He duplicated his work for the driver's side.
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f2...haustIns-6.jpg
All welded together.

Here's a look from the Toyomoto Y-Pipe back.

My High Flow Cat
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f2...haustIns-2.jpg
Paul and Matt then painted the piping with some silver coating to make it more durable and clean. With the slight angling out of each muffler I think this flows much better with the body kit that I have on the car.

Here's a link to a short video clip that I took before the install. Much higher pitched and less responsive.

Thanks again to Paul and Matt over at Paul's Custom Exhaust in Snellville, GA. They have taken me on for the 2008 show season and I will represent their name proudly!

Kevin at R2B2 is wrapping my trunk, UGO roof spoiler, and Junction Produce 3 piece spoiler replica in carbon fiber
As many of you know my car has undergone many changes for the upcoming 08 show season. Here are some sneak peaks of the work that is going on. Look for a final update at the World of Wheels show in Atlanta January 3rd-6th. The car will be done next Friday and will undergo extensive detailing for the show. Just to tell you what is happening in these pics:
1. Carbon fiber wrapping the UGO Roof spoiler
2. Carbon fiber wrapping the Junction Produce Replica rear spoiler. The two side pieces will be color matched to the body to achieve my two tone carbon look.
3. Trunk will be wrapped in carbon as well. I am not deleting the inner tails. You'll see why.
Dropped off at the shop

Had to move it to another room since they were about to sand another car down

ok so the trunk lid was wrapped today and has one layer of resin on, they are going to let it cure overnight, sand, and apply another coat of resin, sand, and clear coat it hopefully tomorrow. car is now scheduled to be complete monday or tuesday just in time for roll in at the World of Wheels Show on Thursday! Here are the pics I took today.
This is the top of the trunk lid

Here it is guys from WOW Show in ATL. The JP replica 3 piece spoiler is not on yet and neither is the UGO roof spoiler. The car went back in the shop today and will be out Wed or Thurs morning to roll out for WOW Chatanooga.

here you can tell how kevin matched up the weaves from the trunk lid to the jp replica spoiler
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f2...d/DSCN8814.jpg
here's the full rear end. you can see how they painted the side pieces of the rear spoiler to match the car and there's the ugo roof spoiler up top.
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f2...d/DSCN8813.jpg
We also tinted the tails
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f2...d/DSCN9159.jpg
from the side
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f2...d/DSCN8809.jpg
a better angle with the slightly tinted tails. we did two coats of smoke black and called it quits. it is easier to get darker than it is to go lighter.
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f2...d/DSCN8808.jpg
They also faded the sides of the ugo roof spoiler to match te car so that when you see it from the side it looks black
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f2...d/DSCN8811.jpg
you can see the fade here

Here you can see where my Bucky got creative with some paint.
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f2...d/DSCN9175.jpg
I am also getting my pro lex performance exhaust manifold heat shield painted black. after some research i found that it really doesn't do much of a job shielding heat from the intake piping so i decided to create a show piece of it. i cut out a rectangular window so that you can see the headers through the hole. It should add for some good contrast with the black heat shield and the gold headers.
up close idea of it. it is only filler primered right now. not painted yet.

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f2...-1-08GS311.jpg
that is all for now. i'll keep you guys updated
Ok, so today was a very productive day for me considering how late it started lol. I want to thank Dan, Juan, and and Shin (GGPIS3, Jvillagran and CarbonIS) for helping me out with parts and last night with my AEM wideband install, and thanks to Bucky for loaning me his spare carbon fiber single guage pod to use until we come up with something better later.
We took off the exisiting paint on the nitrous bottles yesterday night with aircraft paint remover. It is some cool stuff if you haven't ever used it before. Apply the goopy stuff on and spread it around. Let is sit for about 5 minutes and watch the paint bubble off! lol we then primered the bottles with a little sandable primer just to make the paint adhearable later. Thanks to Dan for letting me use one of his spare nitrous bottles until I get my new one in the mail!
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f2...d/DSCN9185.jpg
Here is my header heat shield, along with the shifter panel, and double din face. These will be painted later today when Bucky gets a chance.
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f2...d/DSCN9186.jpg
We trimmed the carbon panels and sanded the edges. We will be added 1 or 2 more flood coats of resin on top before sanding down and clearing them.
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f2...d/DSCN9176.jpg
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f2...d/DSCN9177.jpg
Here is the AEM Wideband. It is temporarily mounted to a chrome bezel guage holder.
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f2...d/DSCN9180.jpg
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f2...d/DSCN9181.jpg
And this morning with the carbon fiber guage pod Bucky let me borrow. I only have it held down right now with double sided 3m tape until i figure out what to do. I am trying to source a driver's side a-pillar so that i can mold my triple guage pod to it and wrap it with carbon fiber. until then this guage pod cup will do.

Well, I haven't been doing much lately but I decided to get a few things done off of my check list these past few weeks. I finally got my HKS Cam Gear installed. CarbonIS helped me with the install of a custom oil catch can. We like to call it the Shin Motorsports Husky Custom Oil Catch Can lol.

like all things, lessons are learned through actions! i know i've made a few mistakes in deciding some parts over others but as i've grown i've learn to inquire about others' opinions before purchasing parts. i also get mad deals now as well. the car is coming along slowly but surely. thanks for the kind words as wellQuote:

what type of power does it put out with those type mods? fuel economy horrible?
2jz's have never been known to have good gas mileage.... they aren't bad, but not good. whats funny is that i actually got better mpg when i had a good tune on boost vs. being NA..
as for his power goals... it will be kept in the low 300's for daily driving.. we want to keep his car reliable with absolutely 0 issues besides oil changes. we will probably have a higher boost tune which will make about 400ish rwhp, but knowing tony, it will never see higher than 10 psi. lol
Lexus' are garbage.
Especially jade green sc300's.
still looks good tony
