Yeah, LOL - we got ONE damn exit away from Commerce and then the freaking sky opened up. Limping on i-85 at 25mph so you can see is no fun. I didn't thik we used the methanol...but I guess we did. Either way I'm pretty sure that the methanol allows for more boost...methanol doesn't = power. Just allows for more boost, in which case if I'm right, we were runing the same amount of boost as he is now.

It doesn't matter. Lets talk about my car. Not charles car. That's what this thread is about anyways. Brandon wasn't trying to talk shit about Charles car. It's just that everyone out on the street calls it "the stock blue evo".

My shit is blown up. It should be put back together next week with a whole lot more power. Hopefully we can find some Evo competition then and hold the car together. It will be a built motor, so it shouldn't be a problem. I was actually in good spirits when this happened because I just knew it meant that it was finally time to put the built motor in. Dan can't resist!!!

So did anyone find those posts about the stock block and 600 awhp yet?

I made 750hp yesterday on a stock block evo.

I used my FISHER PRICE FIRST TUNER SET.

Its the same thing Doug uses.

I still don't understand how a manifold could blow up an engine unless it's tuned too lean.

OK:). I was getting offended. I'm pretty sure that they dyno on 2wd dyno's...nut I'm not sure. I'll try to do some research and make sure before I stick my foot in my mouth. Although I don't think that is talked about much since 2wd makes it look like more power.

Well, once you aren't so tired from looking on the internet search batlground on IA or evom:). You can find all of the steps we took with the car. The intake manifold makes the car make more power. Thus that extra 25 HP possibly had something to do with the rods breaking (we just put the manifold on and the car blew pretty much as soon as we had a chance to get on it). Like I already said, the pistons are fine (except for the one still stuck in the cylindar :D). No sign of detonation. Just stock rods are weak. They're not made for 550 awhp. They are made for stock grocery getters. Im actuallt surprised that our tranny or transfer case hasn't broken yet. Usually that's the first thing to go.

But if you want you can look at the dyno chart in my sig.
