    Default FS: XSPower Intercooler New

    SOLD!

This auction is for an XSPower upgrade intercooler: $100 for pick-up only. This item is brand new and never used or installed. I am located in Fayetteville (right above Peachtree City and south of the airport).

This is intended for an Evo 8 but you can use it for anything that it will fit. It has solid construction and very nice welds. I don't think you can go wrong with this piece and the price.

The information below is from their website:

    INTERCOOLER SPECS
    315mm X 500 X 100mm thick
    Bar and plate core is 12.4" tall X 20" wide X 28 and 3.75 " thick.
With over 1200 cfm flow at 1 psi pressure loss only.
Over 85% more flow area than stock (Evo 8).

I can understand for their turbos, MBCs, or wastegates but not for their intercoolers.

If XSPower items are so bad then why does Buschur buy their o2 housings from them, send them out to be ported and jet-coated and then charge $200 for them? How about their lower and upper intercooler piping that is exactly the same as AMS except for the fact that it is stainless instead of aluminum (which is better in my opinion because you can torque the hell out of the clamps on the piping without worrying you are going to bend it.) Or their tubular exhaust manifolds that people have had good luck with. Or their turbo back exhaust that is pretty popular with no ill-effects that I have heard of.

All of this stuff is for the Evo 8 and I don't know about his other items, but I can say that it is hard to screw up piping. I have all of the stuff listed above except the tubular exhaust manifold (the stocker flows really well when ported) and I can attest to the quality of the products. I wouldn't sell this intercooler if I knew it was sub-standard. The welds are very nice and I know it to be a quality product (there has been independent testing on it and it does make horsepower over stock).

things that are stationary, you cant go wrong with buying ebay stuff.
the only things that require precision, like turbos, boost controllers, wastegates, bovs, etc., you dont want to be buying knock off things.

for an intercooler.. you cant go THAT wrong with it..
it does have a 1psi pressure drop though.. most are less than ~.3 from what i've seen at least..

its still a steal, but it'd look pretty weird on a car other than an evo..
the core is so tall and slim for my taste, but its 100bux.. cant go wrong with that!

    gl ont he sale.

It is funny that people associate high price with quality. If you do your research you will learn a few things.

The reason these are so cheap is because they use already existant research data along with outsourced manufacturing from other countries (namely China) for way cheap labor to produce a quality product at a low price. I am not saying that what they are doing is 100% moral by "borrowing" build specs and research from other companies, but I am saying that it does make it cheaper.
