    Where is a good local area to get certified in audio installation

    just get MECP certified by self study and take the test

    go there and check it out. They might have a course you could take but not sure.

    I dont know of any local schools for mobile electronics. Personally I would goto acoustic edge in houston or the school in orlando which I cant remember the name of for some reason. If out of state isnt an option though, then taking the test on your own is always an option.

    Installer Institute sponsored by Metra. You can take the MECP certification at any local library. My advice to you is to buy the study guide before hand b/c they have changed and added stuff to the test in the past year or 2. You will have to retake the test every 4 years if you want to stay current in certification.

    yeah..i hear several places down in FL are rather nice, some of the courses arent very long either, around 6-8 weeks. which isnt all that bad
